There's something off with the camera angles.
"I've got to get me out of here
This place is full of dirty old men
And the navigators and their mappy maps
And moldy heads and pissing on sugar cubes
While you stare at your books."

Curtains was a little disappionting.
Mary Louise Wilson is my new hero.
Still love Audra to death, although I enjoyed that more when she did it in the show. Did she sound a little tired vocally to anyone else?

YIKES! It looks like I am in the minority here, but I thought the 110 performance was worse than I had expected.

What happened to the show being broadcast in HD?

It's cute how they had the actor from "Ugly Betty" who loves Broadway musicals.

I didn't think it was the best either. Good but not amazing. So far the TONYS are doing well.

Still hoping for a win by Audra tonight, even though it'd be a big upset. Yeah, I know she has four, but she's just AMAZING.

Good question ROTEl!
I just commented up there about how poor the lighting quality is.
I had to go adjust my set! Where is HD???

Is it annoying anyone else that once you post something it sends you right back to the main board?

Maybe it's the fact that she is a Broadway legend, but something about Audra's performance had my eyes glued to the screen, mouth agape the entire time.
I thought she was spectacular.

That song, much like every other song performed at the Tonys, works so much better in context. Audra just looked like she was crazy. She was brilliant, but people who don't know the show wouldn't get it I think.

I have really enjoyed the performances so far. I hope for at least one win for Curtains! What a spectacular cast, performing an acceptable song, not awesome, but pretty good. I still love the CD though!

HeyMrMusic,
Maybe that's what happened to me. I just didn't get the whole number, which makes it "difficult to love".
I won't hold it against Audra! :)

At the rate Audra's going, it's going to be a full-out arial (ariel? the hands-free cartwheel) by the time 110 closes. :)

John Gallegher Jr. thanked Kim Grigsby, who graduated from the high school I go to now. I felt pretty special because I know her.

MARY LOUISE WILSON MATING CALL!!!!
I thought Audra was fantastic. She has great comedic timing.
