Dumb question from a West End regular, how many Billy Elliots are there now?
I know there is Trent/David/Kiril the original 3, plus Tommy now, is there anyone else?
I am over in New York in 2 weeks time, going to see Billy twice.

You named all four of them. I hope to read what you thought about the show :)
Certainly will keep a diary on the West End Board, I know you cross the water sometimes and your contributions are always welcome and info invaluable.
I saw the June 6 matinee, and Tanner Pflueger was on as Billy. His bio is in the Playbill, not just an insert.
He was astonishing, BTW.

That was Tanner's last performance.
His bio was taken out of the Playbill right after that. By the Tuesday, June 9th, performance he was no longer listed.
Who is Tanner? Is he a new Billy?
I am coming over from London to New York, next Tuesday (23rd) I am going to see Billy Elliot on the Wednesday Matinee and Saturday Matinee, do you think I will see different Billy's?
Tanner is on vacay now I believe before returning to the London show. He started as Billy in London last fall, you can see him back over on your side soon.
Its entirely possible that you will get different Billys, very likely actually, but this rotation is pretty impossible to predict.
I am VERY happy I got to see Tanner. I love that each Billy is "different" and adds something special to the performance.
Now the only one I have not seen is Tommy. I hope that happens, but, honestly, I am pleased with whomever I see. All the boys are remarkable.
Cheers Geridith. can always rely on Broadway folk to come up tops for me!
Generally the only reliable way to see two different ones is to go two performances in a row, but even that isn't 100% reliable.
Interesting that now so much debate is popping up about Tommy considering he started as a full time Billy back in February... anywhos in response to:

I agree, I don't think Tommy is an understudy anymore, Equity seems very particular in general about billing in playbills. But I'm interested to know why, if he is a full-time lead, he is still pulled to perform Tall Boy, an ensemble role. Contract wording?
They are all alternates, and alternates can understudy other roles, I believe.
Tommy has been in the rotation, plus other people besides us call call him u/s billy. He has been on as Tall Boy plenty of times since he has been in the rotation. I am wondering and hoping not if Matthew and Mitchel get sick at the same time who will go on as small boy, will the show role get cut or a small ballet girl go on in the track.
I saw erin and maria as debbie they are both great. i am spoiled to sit in the mezz now after sitting in the orch for this show. you get to see the ballet girls faces, as well as billy's.

I'm would imagine that Equity rules are different in the UK but I'm positive that one night we had 3 Billys performing. One as Billy, another as Michael and a third as Tall Boy. We have also had a Debbie play Small Boy.
Thanks for the info BillyWhiz. As of right now, its the end of the school year so many of them will be taking exams.
Any understudies tonight? Anyone know? Even a few?
