LOL.
And in the span of just a few minutes, Wildhorn is suddenly gaining a bit of traction (also considering the surprise Bonnie and Clyde West End transfer in the spring).
I just don't think Alice in Wonderland will ever be a compelling musical. It doesn't have much of a forward momentum plot and these songs aren't great... that Broadway production was just awful though. The show needs spectacle, so maybe Tuachan can do that.

The problem was by the time "Bonnie & Clyde" came out, anything done by Wildhorn was DOA by the critics. I think the music for "Bonnie & Clyde" was pretty good.
I love the score for Wonderland though I’m disappointed they recorded early and we didn’t get a recording of the revised opening number and the duet version of “Home.” I hope someone can fix the book someday.
Bonnie & Clyde faired a bit better for me. The score is a gem and the book is very good. It’s probably the best book of any Wildhorn musical. Ivan Menchell should have a go at Wonderland.
Both Wonderland and Bonnie & Clyde have their flaws (especially the former), but the scores are decent. I think a reworking of the books would do wonders for both shows.
Sidenote - I hope Jeremy transfers with Bonnie & Clyde and his former cast mate is somewhere having serious FOMO.......

Hated the staging to the Broadway production. It all felt so clean. I enjoy the music, but it needs a little something.
The artwork for this production is very similar to the recent UK tour which makes me think this “revised” production is going to be the same production.
I hope not as that production was truly horrific.
I mean, unless they've done some serious work on the book I'm afraid there's no salvaging this show. And the score is uneven - some of the songs are great, but in the context of the show they were pointless.
The show's major flaw was the book which was totally nonsensical, and not in a good way.
I do think the score has some fun bops, but that book if absolutely atrocious. The Broadway production also looked extremely cheap and misguided design-wise.
Will anyone be catching the show?

For the record, there is a whole world outside of Broadway and the West End that loves Wildhorn's music. . Last year, he was commissioned to write a full-scale symphony for the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. In 2021, Playbill also reported that Wildhorn was working on ''Peter the Great,'' a new musical set for St. Petersburg, Russia, and 2022 would see productions of his ''Xcalibur'' in South Korea, and ''The Man Who Never Laughs'' and ''Never Say Goodbye'' in Japan.
And recently it was announced that his newest show, ''The Song of Bernadette,'' will make its world premiere at Milwaukee's Skylight Music Theatre in 2023. Here's Jeremy Jordan singing ''Tear It All Down'' from this musical.
