0/3 with the virtual line. Guess I'll try again tomorrow. Darn living in Brooklyn or I'd have maybe tried the stand-by line for tonight.
Does anyone know if it went on tonight?
Flat was a poor word choice, I just mean that even though Viola/Cesario is theoretically the "lead" role, there are probably five or six characters I could name whose parts are more interesting/entertaining than hers, and so anyone taking on the role gets the short end of the stick.

I love everyone's responses about Hamish Linklater. I am smitten with him. I'm also completely obsessed with the idea of him staying in New York and doing a Broadway show.

Yes, but they had to stop it about 15 mins in for about 15 mins. It finished up about 11:30. It also started 10 or 15 mins late (possibly to decide about starting at all as it was lightly raining, which got worse once it started).
I really enjoyed the show, and so grateful that it did stop raining so it didn't get cancelled.
It didn't really feel like a 3 hour show, it was very dynamic. It did have some lows but overall it was really well put together. I will definitely go again!

I signed up for the virtual line for tonight's show but have not gotten an email back....do you get an email if you don't win tickets? When's the latest they email you if you DO get tickets?
You don't get an e-mail. You have to sign back in where you signed up for the line and it tells you your results.

...Yikes! I've had the blessing of playing Viola in the past and could not disagree more. I think she's the most interesting character in the show, and would sooner play her again than take on the others! There's so much for the actor to mine in a character like Viola.
I think I will try again tomorrow for tickets. FOr those who've been waiting in line the past 1-2 days, would a 4am ish arrival be ok or should get there earlier? I know you can't go inside the park til about 5. ( I know some people still do but I think I'll pass!
Also there isn't really a stage door, correct? (Or is it Gate 1?) My friend is visiting from LA and is wondering if he'd get a chance to meet the cast at all.
Thanks!

^Gate 1 is where the cast comes out. And you should be FINE with 4am, that's probably way early, actually. I went on Friday and there were plenty of tickets left at 1pm.
Also, are you sure they do Monday shows?

Miracle of miracles; the weather today wasn't heinous as forecasted. My friend showed up at 12:30 and got tickets! And the show was great!
Oh,sorry..I was referring to Tuesday...
Thanks for the Stage door info. Has anybody actually waited there? I know it ends kind of late so I'd imagine they try to kick people out of the park as soon as they can...

I waited on Friday. Anne was the only 'star' I talked to, she's SO sweet. Raul never came out and Audra McDonald didn't stop to talk to anyone. Anne came out relatively quickly, we probably waited for 15-20 minutes tops. Since they don't have the headshots in the playbill I couldn't really tell who any of the other actors were...lol.

two of my favorite performers: Audra and Raul! I don't want to miss this!
Great! Thanks so much for the info! :) My friend will be soo happy! :)
0/4 on the virtual line, but I went in to try the standby line and got a ticket last night! :)
I thoroughly LOVED the show!!

A question...I apologize if it seems uninformed:
Is the virtual line truly a "line" in which you get tickets based on the time you sign up, or is it more like a lottery?

The virtual line page on Public web site says limited ticket distribution on June 16. Anyone know what this means, and how limited?

Means that there's limited ticket distribution.
From what I've read and inferred from various places, the number of tickets available for the virtual line is a small fraction of the number available on the live line. Like, maybe, 80% of the tickets are at the Delacorte, and only 20% set aside for the virtual.
I'm not saying these are actual numbers, just using them as an example. But that would explain why most people seem not to win the virtual lottery.
I also noticed several enterprising people on Craigslist offering to line-sit and obtain tickets for you, for a fee. Ah, the entrepeneurial spirit!
What s a good time to get to the standby line? I was thinking 5 pm.
