Why do "we" know when the first press performance is? In my experience that isn't something that is usually shared with cast members and sometimes stage management, but kept with the producers and house staff.

Your experience is certainly different from mine - everyone knows when the first press performance is on Broadway, it's never a secret (particularly when it's only a day away).

First press show is tomorrow, so it's not terribly hasty.

Doesn't that mean they reviewed something that wasn't the final product, making the review kind of meaningless?

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad

I wouldn't be surprised to find that the opening gets pushed back. Way way back. Way way way back.

Or not. Who knows. But I can't imagine the show opening in the condition it was in last night.

Maybe. But if you've seen the show this week (and maybe you have), you might not feel that it really matters. The writing is so flat, I can't conceive of any changes they could incorporate in a few days that would make it significantly different.

If they were not permitted to review the show at this point, maybe Lincoln Center could sue, but I can't imagine what they would hope to achieve by objecting...

I understand your frustration. But really, the only things trolls care about is being the center of attention. And the only solution to the problem is to deprive them of that attention by not addessing their posts.

True, this may not get rid of them, (and I don't think anything could get rid of this one), but at least they won't be given the attention they crave.
