Kyle becomes famous for being a pest. No doubt he's thrilled with that. Even the writer linked to - and I use the term "writer" loosely, as a large portion of his article(s) are quotes from this thread - mentions that the thread is so long because kyle posts in it so much. Roughly 25% of the posts on this page alone are kyle's.
Congrats, kyle! You're an internationally known troll!
The man communicates like a hyperbolic 17-year old. (No offense to any posters who are 17). For a 46-year old man, his behavior is inexcusable. I don't care if it IS only the internet.
joey changed my age from 45 to 46.... one year in one day.... its metaphorical because thats what WOTV did...
more importantly, i'm FAMOUS!!! i'm FAMOUS!!! internationally so.....
ok, well, let me go read the article that has provided me with this fame!!!!!! i am tnrilled with my GLORY !!!
its a shame that itjay took down his 4000 clip art cans... when it literally broke the message board for 5 minutes it was performance art at its finest... ok, don't want to dally... let me go read the article....
if any press needs to contact me, i can be contacted through these boards.... how exciting... ALL of it....
"Though it is sometimes asked who needs critics when the whole world is now one, it is precisely because the world has free reign to express its opinions publicly now that critics are arguably needed more than ever to provide an informed commentary - and, unlike Kyle4, have been at least written by observers who have stayed for the whole show."
Yes, kyle. Even a lazy UK blogger who bases his article largely on culled quotes from a message board and who writes in run-on sentences thinks you're a wanker.
mimijudith... thank you for sharing that link... i just read it and i am BEYOND thrilled.... it was important for me... at this point... to go INTERNATIONAL.... makes a lot of sense....
mimi... i really wish you had not back-pedaled on your opinion amidst all this... because, dear mimi, it would have been YOU on my arm during this time... a time where the papparazzi and press will be descending... listening to... and reporting on.... KYLE4.... sorry mimi, but we'll always have saratoga!!!
ok, again, press or appearance requests... just reach me through here !!!
guys, it is saturday night...not sure exactly what time because the clocks change tonight... i think...
anyway, this thread just fell off the front page... thank god i was here to catch that... we all need to be more careful about that happening...
and, in case anyone had trouble finding it... the article they wrote about me in london is on page 38, towards the bottom... i thought i would mention that so it would be easy for you guys to access it...
Congratulations on the quotation pick-up, kyle. Be careful, though -- fame is a wicked whore.
You might think he's a pest or a troll, but at the end of the day, kyle articulated the same views as those expressed by most of the critics about this mediocre production.
I don't know the kid, but I think some of you should lay off.
"But they don’t point out how many of those postings are by someone called kyle4, who kept up a running commentary on his own hostility to the show - which he had left at the interval of one of the first previews of - but treating the thread as if he were also updating his Facebook status so we knew whether he was on his way to or from the gym when he was posting."
Funny how kyle doesn't realize he is being insulted and the butt of an international joke (well maybe not too surprising). Kinda like Mel Gibson thinking he is "famous" for all his recent press.
You might think he's a pest or a troll, but at the end of the day, kyle articulated the same views as those expressed by most of the critics about this mediocre production.
Except the other people didn't articulate the same thing again. And again. And again. And again. You get the point.
Also, kyle4 personally attacked those who dared to disagree with him, which just about all of the other people who disliked the show didn't do.
sleeper2... you are sooooooooo invited to ALL the events held in my honor... i didn't want to be the first to say it, but it's true... EVERYTHING i said was mentioned and highlighted in most reviews...
i spoke my truth and my concern... i cared...
steve2.... my international fame is MINE... you can deal with and believe anything you want about YOUR international fame... i support any and ALL the international success you amass... in fact, link me to your international mentions... would love to read them....
adamgreen... sidekick to itjay... stream the quotes where i attacked anyone on this board... stream away...
kyle4 is a LOVER... he brings heartfelt observations and loin-melting goodness to the broadway community !!!! he loves with words and feelings....
no clip art spray cans in my arsenal...
anyone working out at the soho equinox today... back and biceps today...
Also, since I'm here, I finally saw the show. I didn't like it very much. I would maybe see it again, but only after listening to the cast recording a few times and getting to like the music more. I liked it okay, but think I might like the score more after revisiting it a few times. Overall, it was a little bland and didn't feel like a story that warranted telling (I'm sure that's not the case in the movie, just in this adaptation). I was a little bummed not to like it more, but it wasn't the worst thing I've ever seen. To be cliche, I loved Laura Benanti. I also really liked the song "Lie to Me" and how it was done with the dubbing- a cool moment.
On another note, I had some of the silliest people sitting around me in the theater. A woman behind me at intermission exclaimed "I have never seen so much money put into a show." Really? Really? I don't know Phantom's budget, but if this woman is seeing Women on the Verge, I'm sure she caught Phantom in the last 20 years. I don't believe that this show looks anywhere near as expensive as Phantom does. The man sitting next to her was wondering why it was set in Spain. Huh. Good question. This same man had seen the movie and still wondered why it was set in Spain. This same man also had read the book that the movie was based on. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the movie was based on a book. The woman in front of me took until intermission to realize what she'd seen Sherie Rene Scott in: Everyday Rapture. How do you see Everyday Rapture and forget that Sherie Rene Scott was in it.
I was also shocked with how many people were critical of the show during intermission. I just think it's a little rude to criticize while you're still in the theatre as it might affect how other people who are enjoying the show feel about it. But that's just me.
Haha that's funny about the Everyday Rapture thing.
While I was waiting in line to get into the theater, a woman behind me said (looking at Sherie Rene Scott in the production shots outside the theater) "Ohh that's right! The lady from Rent is in this." I'm assuming she was referring to Idina Menzel?
