some1 should call symphony space and ask about the cd
Neil truly is an accomplished Sondheim interpreter. Who'd have thought after Doogie Howser?
That was fantastic!
You know, NPH die-hard I am, I had my doubts. But that was amazing.

Re: "Best thing that ever happened" - that was Gregg Edelman, not Howard McGillin.
Neil did great. He struggled a bit to hit some notes at the end, but an all-around terrific performance.
Guys, I missed "Finishing the Hat" because it stopped working and then spent about ten minutes buffering before reconnecting again... that and "A Little Priest" are what I was waiting for all night! Did anyone record it? Damnit.

Schmaltz alert!
To quote Kermit the Frog, "as the needle approaches the final groove", I just want to say how nice it's been to have this running commentary going on during the concert.
I'm mostly a lurker on the board, but I always enjoy reading your posts and it's been fun to have a group of people sharing my enthusiasm for Sondheim!
Our pleasure. :)

I wish Bernadette was singing this.
I wish Bernedette was singing ANYTHING *sighs* As amazing as this concert is, it's missing her...at least she called in though :)
Infinite thanks to staticradar for posting the mp3s! I was only just able to login and listen -- thanks! Lansbury and Hearn's "A Little Priest" is priceless!
Why is Bernadette not there?
What did she say in her call?
I missed that part.
The feeling is mutual - couldn't have said it better myself. A great way to spend a Saturday night!
Thank you thank you thank you, staticradar!
I'm still buying a cd if they ever get around to producing it. But in the meantime I can play Donna and Angela again and again until my ears are bruised.

Wow. Looking at the end of this, it's just showstopper after showstopper, finishing off with one of the best choral numbers ever. Joy. :)
And if you want to upload songs, yousendit might work.
