And it takes off!
Happy previews, let us know how it goes!
Invited dress tomorrow, YAY!
You guys are gonna love this show! The London production was stunning and lucky you you have the wonderful Christine as Martha- perfect casting!
Chances are this one will run longer than the first Broadway production -3 weeks!
Anyone going tonight?
For those of you who have seen it already - how does it compare to the movie? I've always found the film to be kinda bland.

Farce never transfers well to the movie screen. But the London production was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Let us know how it is. I never saw the movie, but it sounds pretty funny.
I couldn't be more excited for this production.
Definitely on my list for this summer.
Let us know how it is!
This is a brilliantly paced production and you will see how its impossible to put pure farce on to film. Farce feeds off the audience. The London production was hysterical and thats the production NY is getting. Its rumored to be coming back to us in 2009.

Enjoy everyone. I'll be there tomorrow afternoon.
I'm going tonight and really looking forward to it!
Break a leg to everyone in the cast tonight, especially Ms. Baranski!!
I'm also really excited for this! Not seeing it for another couple of weeks though. However, I know the cast is having a great time, and I think that having a happy and relaxed cast usually makes for good performances.
At the last minute I've found myself with an extra ticket for tonight. PM me if you're interested in taking it.

The dress was close to three hours but it breezed by. So much fun!! They should cut a bit, I think, but overall it was tight and well-paced, and wonderfully acted. Mary McCormack was a delightful surprise for me.

Just got back from the dress, it was an absolute riot! It ran just over 2 hours 45 minutes, but it didn't lag at all, it was so crisp for a dress rehearsal, it should be in perfect shape in a week or so when the run time decreases a little and some of the cues are picked up even quicker (lots of doors slamming).
Rylance was brilliant, and Baranski, Gershon and McCormack were absolutely hysterical, I can't wait to see it again. The audience was also in stitches for the majority of the play.

The outside and lobby are beautiful.
The inside is pretty I guess, though one would think Legally Blonde should be in there because the main color is bright pink.
I saw the Dress today too, this show is hilarious! Who else thought Mark Rylance was channeling Eugene Levy though?
