There was also the one that played last month(I apologize for forgetting the name at the moment. Jet lag still present) and I'm sure there was one other. Can't think of it right now, but Gompers was one of them.

Hi peoples! I just got back from spending a week in Japan and it seems like I missed some interesting conversations since they didn't have a computer or TV in English where I was staying.
To Anthony, I hope the filming is going well and hope to hear from you soon. How are you and the cast holding up? Also, I'm not sure if this can be answered or has already been answered, (I got jetlag so I feel a bit worn and a bit stupid) but since according to you Finale A and B aren't gonna be in the film, what will the ending be like? Are they just gonna have some random lyrics from the songs?
Racetrack- That was one of the things that surprised me the most. Books are rarely banned in my high school. I was very surprised because some of the material that I have been obligated to read in my English classes have been, what some would consider, highly offensive, depicting everything from drug use to sex to male and female masturbation in great detail.
The play that went up last month was Bingo with the Indians. I saw the reading. It was the first Adam Rapp thing I'd seen, and it was really good. Plus, I got to meet our Anthony afterwards. :)

Em-Lee you're lucky that books are hardly ever banned in your district. Sometimes teachers will teach books that are banned in my district anyway because it's on their curriculum. The ones I know for sure that are banned are The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and To Kill a Mockingbird. I also think that The Catcher and the Rye may be banned as well. It always makes me sad when these books are banned, but sometimes it can't be stopped. Through books though (non-fiction as well as many others) we are able to go to different places and explore things that we never could just by sitting around.
Sorry about the rant. Reading is just something I've felt passionately about since I was little and my parents hardly ever put boundaries on what I could read(which may or may not have been good). So I'll stop that now.
Thank you Yero my Hero for saying the title. Very helpful. :)

That sucks that those books are banned at your school Race. Those are all some great works of literature. Thankfully, I've never had to deal with serious bans when it came to literature and because of that I've gotten to read some great works that I probably wouldn't have thought to read before. I'm a serious bookworm at heart and proud of it! :-P
On another slightly related note, my two Adam Rapp books finally came via mail. I just got home so now I shall indulge in reading for the rest of the night. hooray!

Wow, Racetrack, those are REQUIRED reading in my school. I just finished Catcher in the Rye(sadly, it didn't interest me much- maybe I'll re-read it and see if my mind is changed.
Although we do ban SOME books- during banned books week we learned they were trying to ban Heather Has Two Mommies and I was pissed. It didn't go through though.
Anthony is probably really busy with filming so that's probably why he's not here.

There are classes that read them anyway. I won't even go into the big Adventures of Huckleberry Finn controversey last year at a different high school.

Yeah Catcher in the Rye was required for my class and I'm so glad it was. I loved that book so much. We're reading The Picture of Dorian Gray now and The Hot Zone in bio so obviously book content isn't a big issue at my school. :-P Still the whole "banning certain books to protect the innocence of teens" aka: censorship really bothers me but I won't get into that here. Sorry for the threadjack...
And to Anthony, I hope you guys are having a blast up in San Francisco. Sounds like you guys are really having an adventure and a half. Good luck and best wishes.
