Ya think?

I adore Anthony's version of Without You. Very heartfelt.

RENTLuvr, there's also your dad *maybe* driving to the booksigning, remember? Ya think?

And yes, Anthony's version is my favorite version of 'Without You.' I was never very fond of it in the OBC soundtrack or the play, but I loved it in the movie. And Rosario's voice is beautiful, but after listening to Ant's rendition, I no longer want to listen to anyone else's.

Ya think?

Without you is one of my favorite songs from Rent, actually. For some reason I thought it would be really weird listening to him sing it, but I was happily surprised.

Opiv, if you hate track, then why do you run? Unless you mean year-round school and your track starts up again...?
"`I grow old... I grow old... I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled.` What does that mean, Mr. Marlowe?" "Not a bloody thing. It just sounds good." He smiled. "That is from the `Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.` Here's another one. `In the room women come and go/Talking of Michael Angelo.' Does that suggest anything to you, sir?" "Yeah -- it suggests to me that the guy didn't know very much about women." "My sentiments exactly, sir. Nonetheless I admire T. S. Eliot very much." "Did you say, 'nonetheless'?" - The Long Goodbye by Raymond Chandler

*jumps into conversation* I've never disliked Without You, but hearing it with Anthony is just beautiful.

I'm reluctant to read the excerpt from the book- Like it won't be as good if I read it out of context, or I'll be disapointed when I get to that part in the book because I'm going to be wishing for the whole thing to be 8000 pages anyway, so haveing any of it read will be less I get to read later.
#11656

Ya think?

I think the excerpt might actually be the beginning of the book. Of course, we'd need confirmation from someone who actually read it.
Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you're up to

Hey you guys I made this art thing on this website and I want you to look at it because i think its really cool...the begining might seem a bit boring so there is a faster bar you just have to slide it forward...and yeah so here is the website...

Ya think?

I loooove his version of Without You. It's so sweet and he sounds really good on it.
#11659

Ya think?

Yeah, I think the excerpt is the beginning of the book- it says chapter one, so unless there's a prologue, I don't think you have to worry about it being out of context. I was wary to read it too, for the same reason, but now the only problem is that I got so into his writing that I almost forgot it was just an excerpt, and now I'm even more impatient for Feb. 7th to arrive.

And RENTLuvr, love the art. I used to do those all the time, but I kind of sucked, so I stopped. And even if it wasn't Rent-related, every other post practically is a threadjack, so no worries.

#11661

Ya think?

Yes, the excerpt IS in fact the very beginning of the book. Ya think?

Stagewhore, I like to run, but it seems like cross country just ended. And I dont have a lot of time to do homework after practice, so I will either get bad grades for spending too much time on here, or not be able to come on enough Ya think?

Yay, I was welcomed. Yeah, it's an interesting read... it just makes my eyes water after staring at the screen for hours... Not that I would ever do that *glances around anxiously*

I find its easier to read the page previous from the last and go from there. 11,000 + posts is....a hell of alot of reading...

Yeah, I also keep forgetting which page I last stopped at... oh my... I shall never finish reading it, as it is very long. Well, if I finish reading it before I finish reading 'Shake Hands with the Devil' (book, about the Rwandan genocide) I'll be sad, because I've been trying to read that book since November 2004.
