I walked out at intermission and I think it’s the only time I’ve done it. I couldn’t bare to sit through more of it. Maybe they’ll find something in the score. I must admit, I’m pretty shocked by this announcement it sounds like an April fools joke.

Give me claws and a hunch, just away from this bunch.

Sounds about right for a Rufus Wainwright project. Didn’t he blame the marketing for its early closing?

I am big. It’s the REVIVALS that got small.

"

Even worse, I think he suggested that audiences weren’t sophisticated enough for innovative new material.

What I hated about it is it would be the artistic equivalent of someone getting the best in the business to act and sing the phone book in a monotonous drone. That is what it felt like. It was so bad that you couldn’t even really laugh at it or find anything so bad to excitedly gossip about. It was so boring and just a waste of time in every way.

I’m ALMOST angry thinking about it but I did walk out so at least I could escape.

Not one single good song in it, not even this cast can make this worthwhile
"

That's putting it kindly. It was atrocious.

Listen, I don't take my clothes off for anyone, even if it is "artistic". - JANICE

Jordan Catalano said: "I kept hoping she’d drop a hint about her new show when she kept talking about the two of them writing musicals."

"Waitress composer Sara Bareilles and Pulitzer finalist playwright Sarah Ruhl are teaming up on a stage musical adaptation of Meg Wolitzer’s bestselling 2013 novel The Interestings."

Charley Kringas Inc said: "Revisiting this score via the album confirms my intial impression, which is that most of Wainwright's music is really beautiful, and that the lyrics are almost universally eye-wateringly bad."

I had a similar experience listening to it live in concert for the first time. Still a fun evening. Sara Bareilles’s voice is transcendent and I’m always blown away by how good Patti Lupone still sounds.
