I haven't seen a ton but my standouts were:
Katrina Lenk - Company
Carmen Cusack - Flying Over Sunset
Julia Murney - Baby
I adored Merry Wives at Shakespeare in the Park, and the whole cast was terrific. Jacob Ming-Trent, I’m particular, was utterly hilarious and truly moving as Falstaff. And his castmate Abena was a comedic highlight in Jocelyn Bioh’s other show this year, Nollywood Dreams.
She’s been mentioned elsewhere, but it bears repeating that Deirdre O’Connell seemed to perform magic in the utterly transfixing Dana H. And while the cast of Company is littered with heavy hitters doing incredible work, I don’t think anyone does as much with as little as Jennifer Simard who seems to wring humor and pathos out of every single syllable she utters.
I forgot about Bareilles as Waitress. As amazing as ever. She;'ll always be my favorite Jenna.

Ugh, Jennifer Simard is SO GOOD in everything she does!

I saw Girl from North Country twice and actually I liked the performances of Austin Scott's and Kimber Elayne Sprawl's understudies better (Matthew Frederick Harris & Housso Semon, respectively).
quizking101 said: "Hey y’all,
Since it’s the end of the year and all the critics are putting up their “best of” lists, I figured we could divert from panicking about cancellations and reflect on the performances we’ve been fortunate to see this year. They can be any show (Long running or new), any role (principal, ensemble, supporting, or understudy), and any venue (Broadway, off Broadway, West End)
Here are mine -
1) Mare Winningham, Austin Scott, Jeanette Bayardelle, and Kimber Elayne Sprawl (GIRL FROM THE NORTH COUNTRY) - In a cast where stories and threads can easily get lost, I was able to always feel the presence of these four, even when they were off stage, and they are the ones whose songs I have on repeat when I listen to the cast album.
2) Bryan Terrell Clark (THOUGHTS OF A COLORED MAN) - I enjoyed how his character was layered with a lot of internal conflict about being a a black, gay man of affluence and how he struggled to relate sometimes to the other characters because of it, but never managed to let his joy be soured.
3) Sharon D. Clarke (CAROLINE OR CHANGE) - “Lot’s Wife”. That is all.
4) Ebony Marshall-Oliver (CHICKEN AND BISCUITS) - For those who saw it, you know. She devoured her ENTIRE role and left the audience in stitches both times I saw it.
5) Rob McClure (MRS. DOUBTFIRE) - Even if the show is a bit like simple, basic comfort food, there is no denying that this man is one of the premier stage comedians of our generation and that he throws his whole arsenal into this role and leaves the audience in stitches when in full nanny drag.
ADDENDUM:
6) Carvens Lissaint (HAMILTON- L.A) - Commanded the whole stage and you knew damn well he WAS the general - but when he sang “One Last Time” with so much soul and power that I could feel the Pantages shake, I wept."
So many incredible performances to choose from!
My top 10 I saw this year were
I don't think it can be classified on this list because it's not a performance in the same way, but I do have to shout out all of Freestyle Love Supreme, especially Aneesa Folds, Kaila Mullady, and Wayne Brady, for absolutely rocking it every time!!!

Thank you for this thread. Great idea!
My favorites in no particular order:
Company: Patti Lupone, Matt Doyle, Jacob Dickey as Andy
Aladdin: Michael Maliakel and Shoba Narayan (one of the best pairings I've seen in this show)
Anastasia 2nd National Tour: Kyla Stone
Mrs. Doubtfire: Rob McClure (I was in awe of his talent in this)
Tina: Adrienne Warren (Wow! Future EGOT?), Daniel J. Watts
Assassins: Steven Pasquale, Ethan Slater, Will Swenson. The entire cast is pretty flawless.
Wicked: Allie Trimm
Come From Away: The stellar cast of swings and vacation covers that I saw on 12/26, several of whom were called in that day.
Dear Evan Hansen: Zachary Noah Piser. One of the best Evans I've seen.
Live At The New Am: Loved the Disney On Broadway concert back in July. I was fortunate to be seated in front of James Monroe Iglehart when he went up to the front of the house and did an impromptu performance with Michael James Scott. Magical.

While I wasn't able to get to New York since COVID hit, I was still able to watch some great theatre thanks to livestreams! My favorites that I can think of are:
Sutton Foster in Anything Goes in the UK. What a thrill to watch her perform this role again. She is the epitome of a triple threat.
Isabelle Huppert in The Glass Menagerie in Paris. One of my favorite actors in one of my favorite plays? YES PLEASE. She was incredible.
And finally...Andrew Garfield in Tick Tick Boom. I know this wasn't live theatre, but damn was he good in that movie. Such a thrill to watch such a good film adaptation.
