What do you think is the best show running and the worst show running on Broadway right now?
Best: August: Osage County
Worst: Grease
I haven't made up my mind on what is best but I won't argue with GREASE as the worst.

Speaking of the devil...the Grease commercial is playing as I type.
Is Grease really worst than Rent?
Yes, by leaps and bounds.
HUGE leaps and bounds. It's beyond awful!
best: South Pacific (The closest thing to theatrical perfection I've ever seen!)
worst: Tough one -- Rent? (never liked it); Curtains (I know I'm in the minority)
Can we say Glory Days? (but to be fair, I didn't see it.)
No, you can't say Glory Days because it closed...hello?!
In that case than Grease must really be a pile of crap, to be worse than Rent.
ReNt is a superb, exquiste and magnificent work of art compared to Grease.
Best:
Tie Between AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY and SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE
Worst:
Tie Between GREASE and CRY-BABY

Best: GYPSY - an exquisite fully realized production of one of the greatest musicals of all time!! Tremendous chemistry between all of the actors, too. Arthur Laurents re-imagining of his show brings out new nuances and pleasure. Perfect.
Worst: PASSING STRANGE - I would nominate this as one of the worst shows of all time. I hated hated hated every single rotten moment of this overblown, over-hyped piece of garbage! Don't get me started on how VILE this junk is, with an obnoxious score and performances of such ineptitude - yes, I know, most others just loved this piece of filth, go figure...
Favorite: XANADU! - for sheer fun, pleasure, and enjoyment, and astonishment that such a terrible movie could be turned into such a top-notch musical!!!
People are going to give me a hard time about this but.
Best: a tie between Young Frankenstein and Avenue Q
Worst: Grease. I wanted my money back after seeing that show.
Best: South Pacific and Gypsy
Worst: Passing Strange, Spring Awakening

Best: As far as musical is concerned it's "South Pacific"-I can't find anything wrong with this show really.
Worst: Grease-I can't believe I shelled out money to see this garbage. (granted, it went to the actors' fund so I can rest easy on that one.)
For what its worth -- RENT did get a Pulitzer Prize.
WAT, I guess you liked Grease. That says enough about your thoughts on shows. Best; August; Osage County Worst: Grease.

BEST: SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE (but I'm seeing GYPSY tonight and haven't seen SOUTH PACIFIC...and I could see either of those uusurping that spot...)
WORST: THE LITTLE [freakin] MERMAID - No offense to Sierra who was wonderful, but that show is awful. Worse than Passing Strange, and worse than... well, anything! Hated it.
I did not like GREASE...in fact, it was awful...but I would sit through GREASE again rather than go near Passing Strange or Spring Awakening. I haven't walked passed the Eugene O'Neal Theater since SA opened...
Best - Gypsy and South Pacific.
Worst - Cry-Baby
Best: August and South Pacific
Worst: Cry-Baby and Spring Awakening (haven't seen Grease, so can't put that in the mix, but I'm sure it would take the Worst Award if I had)
Best: In The Heights!
Worst: Cry Baby or Grease or Young Frankenstein
Best: I love Spring Awakening, but I'm not ignorant. I'd say South Pacific. SA second.
Worst: Xanadu
Leading Actor Joined: 3/2/08
Best- AVE Q and SOUTH PACIFIC
Worst - WICKED
Let me just say if Rent is the worst thing on Broadway, then Broadway is having another Golden Age, cause Rent is pretty darn good.
