Well, Magic Mike just cancelled, so that's out.
Has Andy Karl done anything besides musicals? I'd like to see him in a play. He has this kind of old-fashioned sensibility, maybe he'd be good in a Noel Coward play or something.

I agree. I'm a fan of SVU and thought he did an amazing job. However, they killed off his character because Karl was set to do Groundhog Day in London, however, I wish they gave his character a more open ended exit so he can return to SVU.

He also has a high likeability factor. He certainly could do Hallmark movies (As a leading man) but perhaps he is not interested. Many actors do not mind the gig because they shoot them very quickly in Canada and the money is great. There is also so much more work now because of all of the streaming services. Perhaps he needs to make a pitch. He probably has something up his sleeve that we do no know about.

Howzabout Andy and Orfeh playing meta-versions of themselves in a Netflix streaming musical-comedy? The fantasy sequences alone would be great. Highlighting their chemistry, comic chops and considerable musical talents. Working title, "Down And Out On Broadway".
Okay, I've pitched now. Give your best shot for a premise, kids!

He did Annie Get Your Gun at City Center with Megan Hilty and they were both incredible. It was a natural for a television special transfer and I was quite surprised that someone besides me did not think of it. Given that old fashioned musicals get better ratings, I think it would have done fairly well with a strong promotion.
But on that note, I do not know if the Jennifer Lopez Bye Bye Birdie is happening (I happen to think she would be very good) but if it is, he would be a charming Albert. He might even be able to get away with playing the rock star although he might not be young enough.

The split happened late 2023/early 2024. “Andy and Elise” was an open secret in Melbourne around the theatre he was doing Groundhog Day in, with McCann playing the leading female role.
Andy posted on insta that he and Orfeh had decided to separate, but Page Six says he point blank told Orfeh he was leaving her for McCann.
If you google Andy Karl Elise Reddit, several threads show up where he’s severely dragged by posters.

The New York Post's Page Six reported this in May 2024.
Orfeh visited Karl in Australia in February of 2024, and everything seemed fine, but just before she was ready to head back to the States, he informed her that he was leaving her for Elise McCann.
