"When Harry Met Sally has already been done as a musical in the West End with Allyson Hannigan as Sally."
That version wasn't a musical.
"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter
I would love to see an "Addams Family" musical based on the film "Addams Family Values." Paul Rudnick should adapt his screenplay and Marc Shaiman (who did the music for the film) should write the score in collaboration with Scott Wittman.

i think Pleasantville would make a wonderful musical. it would be amazing aesthetically- when the everything starts changing to color. and the music could be really interesting.
"Can't Stop The Music". Uses existing Village People and Casablanca Records Disco songs. Stars "N-Sych" or "Backstreet Boys" as the Village People. Krissie or Ideena in the Valerie Perrine role.
"Mother, Jugs and Speed". Raquel Welch can reprise her role.
"Roller Boogie" Tina takes the Linda Blair role. Susan Stroman directs and uses existing disco songs as the score but no one actually sings (see "Contact").
"Airport 1975" Ideena in the Karen Black role. Craig Bierko in the Charlton Heston role. Score by Stephen Schwartz who narrowly loses the Tony for Best Musical to "Roller Boogie".
"The Abominable Dr Phibes", "Dr Phibes Rises Again" and "Theatre of Blood" all meshed together into one musical extravaganza.
"The Lonely Lady" Pia Zadora's triumphant return to acting!
"Jack Frost" (The Killer Snowman not the Michael Keaton version)
"From Justin to Kelly" with all of the original "stars"
"Andy Warhol's Trash". The adult content would have to be changed so that it is "family friendly". All roles played by "American Idol" contestants.
"Earthquake" with lots of special effects (fake plaster falls on the audience) and maybe Ideena of Krissie in the role of the single mom. Faith Prince could play the wife and Craig Bierko could be available to play the Charlton Heston Role if "Airplane 1975" fails. New score by Elton John.
"Mandingo" and it's sequel, "Drum" combined into one show. Elton's next score. He lives his desire to do hip-hop and writes several rap style songs.

Dollypop: I wrote a version of "Pink Flamingos: The Musical!" as a present for a friend last year, I dunno if that counts. BTW, one of the greatest films ever made. Ever.

I actually liked that movie, and it would do a good stage show, just change the name to something more universal like "Spring Break" or something and hope it does not become another "Good Vibrations"

I also think (i said this before) that "Latter Days" would make a good serious musical, but I dont know if people out there will think a show with such strong gay themes would be commercial enough to take on (most producers only care about the $$$) and even though the broadway community and supporters have a large gay population, the basic broadway tourist may not care for that (its unfortunate)I cant think of an exclusive musical about being gay that was totally successful, Maybe La Cage. but i think the dramatic element of that movie could work well on stage.

latter days was a ****e gay movie.. would never want to see a musical based on it... and I doibt any other person would.. they should write and perform it in Utah.. now theres somethin to talk about..
