does chrsitina applegate send stuff back? i just sent her a lettwer (and self-addressed envelope!) OH! AND GUESS WHAT? I JUST GOT A SIGNED PLAYBILL BY THE CAST OF SPAMALOT FROM SARA RAMIREZ WITH A THANK YOU NOTE (i drew her a cartoon, and she says she has it hung in her dining room) SO YEAH, IM HAPPY! :)
I sent letters out yesterday to Megan Hilty, Erin Dilly, Victoria Clark, and Brad Garrett....didn't send an SASE with them, since the last time i did that i didnt get anything back. anyone think ill get something back without one?
Does ANYONE know the zip code for the Public. I'm trying to send mail there and I can't find a zip code.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
Just curious, but when you all write letters what exactly do you say?!?!
I've never written anyone just because I never would know what to say that isn't totally cliche or that they haven't read a million times before.
"You just can't win. Ever. Look at the bright side, at least you are not stuck in First Wives Club: The Musical. That would really suck. "

I didn't get an "autograph" but I got an e-mail back from Jason Robert Brown ---- when he responded, he became my hero. lol!
When someone blunders, we say that he makes a misstep. Is it then not clear that all the ills of mankind, all the tragic misfortunes that fill our history books, all the political blunders, all the failures of the great leaders have arisen merely from a lack of skill in dancing. - Moliere
well, i dont really write people, i just draw the ELABORATE cartoons... my sis just got a pic from sara ramirez in the mail today, too :) so, christina DOESNT respond *sigh*...
Ha. I just like writing people. I feel awkward asking for stuff back from them. It's like "Oh I think you're so cool, could you send me this and this and this?" Like... I know most of them are probably flattered by it, but I still don't ask or include a SASE because I don't want them to feel obligated to reply.
Most of the letters I write are along the vein of 'Thank you so much for a truly wonderful night at the theatre' and I really do feel like they've given me enough at that point!
I try to keep it short and sweet with minimul gushing (however my gush radars shut down sometimes with *ahem* certain Broadway actors and the next thing I know I have three pages...), and I always handwright it on good stationary in pen. (But I have very neat handwriting, so it's not a problem for me. If your handwriting's messy you should consider typing it.)

"You know who I think is sexy? Robbie Hart."
"You think the 'Time to Make the Donuts' guy is sexy."
I've just asked at the very end, like, "Oh would it be possible to get a picture? Thanks" That kind of deal. But usually they assume that the main reason you are writing them is for a picture or something of the sort.
"You know who I think is sexy? Robbie Hart."
"You think the 'Time to Make the Donuts' guy is sexy."

AMAZING STAGE DOOR EXPERIENCES: WICKED: met Kristin after an evening show (Idina was out), she was the nicest person, and signed for everyone and was just unbelieveably kind.
SWEET CHARITY: Christina Applegate is A) amazing as Charity and B) another incredibly kind, genuine, unaffected celebrity. She was SO gracious at the stage door (and there were A LOT of people waiting for her). She was just really nice to every single person there and signed as many things that people asked her to sign. A class act is what Ms. Applegate is.
I'm still waiting for the Idina to write back, and sort of losing hope about it, but maybe I'll be surprised.

For pndmnd or anyone else interested. Michael Ball is now starring in "Woman in White" and he's very generous to sign things! If you're local, leave your item with his personal assistant or at the stage door and you can retrieve it after the show.(unless you're lucky enough to have him sign it right then) If you aren't local, here is the address of the theater and be sure to include a SASE! It's not often that Michael is on Broadway so take advantage!!!
The Marquis Theatre address is : 211 West 45th Street, New York, New York 10036
I have an autographed picture that was mailed to my home from "Patience" at the New York theater so I know it works very well!
