chinkie azn jai, that is the correct address for Xanadu. I had sent a message to Patti Murin at that address and she signed my Playbill and returned it within a week or two. She was so nice about it. She e-mailed me to let me know she had received it and when she was going to send it back. Xanadu has such a great cast. You could try resending it, maybe the post office misread your writing. Usually, they can be accessed from their websites and Myspaces. That's how I send the fan letters. I've never sent out requests for anything by mail. I haven't gotten much by mail. I got 3 signed photos from Harvey Fierstein:
And I didn't even ask for them. I sent him a letter one time and it had my return address on it. He's a very nice man.
And, yes, I framed them. I just got them in the mail and HAD to take pictures of them so I just put them on my fridge. lol.

Yeah, myspace or websites are where I've found ways to message actors. I figure if they don't make them easily accessible for fans, they'd prefer not to be contacted by e-mail. I've only messaged a couple, but they have been SO nice and willing to sign things for me. Updated On: 8/20/07 at 12:20 AM
Not Broadway, but when I got home from NYC I had a personalized signed picture from Erin Mackey! She also wrote me a little 'letter' on the back of it. It was too cute . haha.

I've had just the opposite luck with emails. With a few noteable excetions (John Tartaglia and Audra McDonald) every snail mail letter that I have sent has been responded to. Emails on the other hand have not been that successful for me. Well, except for Patti LuPone, she answers every single one.
I found e-mail to be great. Got a response in less than an hour once.

Sorry, Lm4dham052. I have NO idea what the address was. I sent it about a year ago. All I remember was that it was an agency in Brooklyn. Sorry I can't help.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
Today I got something (my December 2003 Vanity Fair with Megan Mullally on the cover)signed and personalized back in the mail. The amazing part was that the turn around time was less than 1 week.
It's amazing because some people take 6+ months and Megan takes less than a week. Needless to say, I'm very excited by this. Updated On: 8/20/07 at 03:23 PM
PC, you mean Megan Mullally? If you sent it to Seattle, you must live pretty close. I sent her something on the 14th, but live in northern Maine. So, maybe there is some hope, I didn't expect to get an autograph from her. But this gives me hope! *crosses fingers*
Yes, I meant Megan Mullally (Will & Grace, Young Frankenstein) and I sent it to the Paramount Theatre in Seattle. I live in Chicago, so I don't live that close at all. Updated On: 8/20/07 at 04:17 PM
I got an autographed magazine from Megan Mullally today!! It has YF on the cover, with the cast inside and the musical numbers. She signed it "Darci, with best wishes xoxo Megan Mullally"
I was pretty surprised, I just mailed her on August 14th and the post mark date on the envelope is August 20th and I got it today, on the 23!! That's pretty fast, esp considering I live in northern Maine and I wrote to her in Seattle, WA!! Megan is def great at answering fanmail!!
Meanwhile I'm still waiting for Sutton Foster, Mara Davi and Beth Leavel to write me back. I find it amusing how the big TV star is the first to write me back. Megan has def moved up on my list!
