If it is Lena Hall then I have to see it...so I'm gonna say Rebecca Naomi Jones would be great.
I still think they are aiming far too young.

I think some different choices would be Charlotte D'Amboise, Donna Murphy, Patina Miller, Sherie Renne Scott, and I'm going to second whoever said Alice Ripley would be interesting

Someone on another thread brought up Carolee Carmello if Tuck closes. I, for one, am all behind this! She's a great talent who would sing Memory magnificently!

If ALW has his way it will be someone younger than what most expect for Griz. He loved all the young belters (Nicole, Kerry, Beverley) for the London revival. Although I suppose it depends whether the Producers now take the lead on who they want?

IMO she is way too young to play Grizabella. Also, she has a beautiful operatic soprano, but her belt is lacking in my opninion...I don't know if she would do Memory justice.

I mean, if we're just throwing out our favorite young actresses, Annaleigh Ashford. Actually, she would be great, genuinely. The thing about Griz is that she could be played by anyone. There isn't a specific Grizabella type, as there are for other characters. So any actress you say objectively wouldn't be wrong. She's a sad cat.
