best: unlike so many, i think sho's is the best. the riffs she adds are inhuman, and she just brings such POWER to the song.
worst: idina at the end of her run- saw her 12/30/04, and she was gasping so much, i thought she might take off act two. still gave me shivers, but she wore herself out so much.

I really haven't heard a DG that I didn't like.
Shoshana's early performances weren't so hot, but she jsut needed a little time to grow into the part, and now I think she's incredible. I have to agree with most of the people here and say that the worst was Idina at the Tony's. It was just unfortunate.

I was there live. So they came out, and Idina looked....not all there. When she started singing she was very off-key. She was gasping for air.
I know that they lifted her higher than usual. Maybe she was nervous about that and about the awards.
It happens.

I think there's something wrong with the monitors on stage at Radio City. Almost EVERYONE sounded AWFUL both this year and last year. It's really hard to be good if you can't hear what you are doing. Tonya Pinkins sounded AWFUL in her number, too, and I can't imagine she was that bad in the actual show.

I'm sure it sounded awful in Radio City, too. I just meant that Idina sounded amazing when I saw Wicked in the Gershwin and she was GREAT on David Letterman, or whatever evening show she performed live on. I just think the onstage monitors in Radio City must not be adjusted properly for performers to have a clue what they are doing.

Yeah, she is my favorite.
I think she was very worn down and nervous.

So much LOVE for Kristy Cates. It just sounds so...freeeeeeeeeee and swooshy prettyyy and yet, very "defying" at the same time.
Worst? I don't know. Probably mine that I know of.

ok, if they took her higher than usual, and she was nomiated for such a huge award, AND performing for america, who wouldn't sound alittle nervous? i didn't think she sounded HORRIBLE

I'm on a Ana high, so I'd say hers is best...but Idina is fantastic on the OBC.

Well, I was blown away by her in the show, but at the Tony's I thought "ewww . . . most of America must be saying to themselves 'this is the best Broadway female performer for this year?'"
