i find it odd that they opted to film his show with the replacement cast ( no disrespect to them) as opposed to the originals

The Library always wants to film the original cast but it depends on whether the actors want to be filmed. For example, they couldn't film the original cast of "James Joyce's The Dead" because Christopher Walken(!) didn't want to be filmed.

So What do they do with this video? Can you purchase a copy?

The Library of Performing Arts (a branch of the New York Public Library) attempts to videotape all Broadway shows, as many off-Broadway shows as they can afford and some important regional shows. They are for research purposes only and can only be viewed at the library's Lincoln Center branch.

And I believe you must be researching a role or have some proof that you're a performer/someone in the industry to view. Don't know how you prove it though.

Actually, as long as your over 18 you can view them. You just have to have a reason, you don't have to prove it. For example, people that are writing books, articles, master's thesis are allowed to view them as well as industry people.

Why didn't they film it when the real people were in it?
There's no excuse for Idina not being as good when I saw it because there was no camera in the audience.

Bronx. You need to think about what you type before you post it. Your posts make no sense and your questions deserve no answer. This TRULY confirms your status as BWW Idiot.

What don't you understand. I asked why she doesn't perform extra well every night even when there's not a camera.

It's more your comment about the real people, like the replacements are sub human or something. Idiot.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

We were there the night of November 6th (after Idina had recovered from her Bronchitis) and without Tom Cruise in the audience and without cameras she was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, added a few extra notes, and put on a phenomenal performance.

Bronx, just because she added a few nuances that night doesn't mean she sucked when you saw her. Perhaps she wanted some more impressive notes to be preserved on tape. I don't think that meant that she doesn't perform well every other night. Idina has been through a lot and the fact that she still performs as well as she does every night is a testament to her professionalism, teenybopper goddess or not.

bronxboundexpress asks:
why didn't they film it when the real people were in it?
which leads me to ask, does this mean that they finally, finally have real flying monkees?
