...or will we be forever relegated to his movies, his TV show, and the benefits he does with his brothers? See these youtube videos of his band: The Wilson Van

I'd really like to see him back on Broadway in a MUSICAL! Seems a waste.
Definitely hope he does. He didn't have that prolific of a career, but the man can sing.
I have a feeling Jeremy Jordan is going to do the same thing. We'll see him a few times on Broadway and then once he makes some real money in movies and tv we won't see him again.
He isn't a household name star yet, so I don't think it's impossible, and has claimed in interviews that his true love is the stage. I thought he was pretty great in the Hytner's Carousel tour I saw him in, before I really knew who he was.
Don;'t worry CATS, maybe Jordan will continue to make films with the impact of Joyful Noise...

Of course he will. It's just much harder to clear a schedule to commit to a musical. He may not be a household name but he works regularly enough to make committing for a year difficult.
He also probably wants the right role that interests him.
His show--which I really wanted to like--was canceled right? But he does have a fairly heavy schedule of making interesting movies. (Well, mostly interesting).
I wouldn't mind though if Jeremy Jordan wants to get naked in a bunch in his movies like Patrick does. For a while it seemed like Patrick was only accepting roles that required him to get naked.

A Gifted Man was cancelled and Patrick didn't seem too upset by it based on his tweets. I don't know what else he has planned. He hasn't gotten naked in a movie for too long ...

I guess he has done a couple of sporting events in the last year or two ...

But this isn't the same as a Broadway Musical. I missed both Oklahoma and The Full Monty and have only heard him sing on youtube.
^Wasn't there a movie were some girl was trying to cut his junk off? That one was surprisingly good.
The best thing about the Phantom movie... Except for his hair.
HARD CANDY. Excellent movie.
Oh, I didn't even realise that was him until you mention it lol. He has had some good film roles.

He's supposed to be coming back to Broadway in the fall.

He doesn't have much charisma. You know, he doesn't have "It".

Really? I think he drips charisma. At least in any interview I've seen him do (all on youtube). Examples:

...but I must admit I've never seen him on stage.

He's coming back to Broadway this fall? Really? In what? Is this a rumor or fact? Going to have to save my pennies.

His story is kinda sad. He's very talented. I've liked everything he's done. He was great in Phantom and Hard Candy is just an incredible movie, he and Ellen Page were wonderful. But I agree with Namo. He probably won't ever be a "star", but his talent keeps him employed and he deserves it.
Is it sad because he won't become a superstar? He seems happy doing more of an assortment of different types of films, etc. I dunno, I think a lot of actors would be pretty happy to be in his position.
The "it" factor is something that is at least partly personal taste I guess, but I thought he had great stage presence in Carousel. It's true he doesn't quite have the personality some more driven seeming stars do in interviews, etc, I guess.
He's a talented and respected working actor. Doing just fine. He tends to play low key men and always seems melancholy which I think contributes to his lack of traction as a leading man.
Has he ever done Allegro on stage (I know it's not done much, period, but the revised version has had a few regional productions in the past while). He's one of my favorite aspects of the studio complete recording.

I mean sad because he doesn't get as much recognition and praise as other (sometimes not nearly as talented actors) get. I love his work, it's just never as recognized as it should be, by the public (I don't know if he's ever gotten an award). He deserves to be a household name, but he's not.
It would be great if he returned to the stage.
Wasn't there a rumor that he may go into the "Drood" revival? I thought I heard that a day or two before CBS finally announced that his show was officially cancelled.
Bwaydide--that makes sense. I guess I thought you meant that he was trying to become some huge blockbuster star and failing at it. As for awards, I know he was nominated for an Emmy and a Golden Globe for his great performance in Angels in America, but that's all I can think of.
I forgot that he did those Anything You Can Do Gap ads with Claire Danes...
