Has anyone walked by the Lunt-Fontanne theatre lately?
Was at the last "BATB" show, which was on a Sunday evening.
Walked by the theatre the following week (must have been no later than Weds), and the theatre is totally "Under the Sea" !
Looks great ! Should have taken some pics. I cant find any on the 'net.

I was there on Wednesday and tried to get one, not that good since there was a bunch of stuff in the way, but anyway.

They had all of the posters and stuff like that up by 11 30 the day after the last show.
^ Yup, everything was up on Monday morning.

I saw them loading out the castle on Wednesday morning.
Yesterday was pretty funny. Went to get tix for the first preview. (got the last ticket available (at least in the $81 range), and the gentleman behind me asked if there were any tix left for "tonight's show". I am not even sure if he wanted "BATB" or "TLM". Neither did the guy at the window.
I passed by wednesday of last week after the show had closed.
It was interesting seeing Tarzan load out and them getting ready for Mermade.
I have a qustion. Did they get rid of one of the marquees on the Lunt? I thought that there were two one facing 7th and one facing 8th. It looked as if they got rid of the one facing 8th. It then had me scratching my head and wondering if there really was a marquee facing 8th or if i thought there was for a long tie and it got nailed into my head that there was one.
Anyone know?
Also, anyone know if they got the mermade marqee up yet?

Probably not the last time that will happen. Imagine all the poor frightened tourists over the next few months who will see the decorations and try to get tickets that day. *Avenue Q word that I can't remeber how to spell*
They do not have a new marquee up yet. I looked on friday night and saw nothing. You have to give Disney credit because they move fast.

Schadenfreude? Making me feel glad that I'm not you?
The Lunt looks great... at least what I can actually see in the pic. lol.
It looks tacky for such a classy theatre,
Looks like a theme park ride.
Boo
The RODGERS was completely painted over black the day after TARZAN left as if they never lost some 20 million dollars.
One sign says
CATCH THE WAVE
is that a new song in the show?

The facade of the Lunt is beautiful. I love the balcony/railing above the marquee.

No, that's an aquatic pun.
I went to go buy tickets for The little mermaid today and the door said that they were closed Sundays arg!
I think it looks great too !
I love standing by the Helen Hayes and watching all of the tourists going to buy tickets for the "Producers" !
"No, that's an Aquatic pun"
A pun is funny right, where's the joke?
That it's gonna flop like GOOD VIBRATIONS?
The Little Mermaid has already taken over the theater? That's Disney for ya!

It really isn't a pun as much as it is Creative Advertising.
It's a shame they kept the crappy poster.
They should build a WaterPark where HoJo's use to be.
