I still listen to that recording on my MP3 player, and enjoy it every bit as much as I did more than half a century ago.
What Broadway musical recording (in any format) was the first that you owned, and why did you choose that musical?"
A high school production of South Pacific is the first musical I ever saw on stage and it lit the fire. That movie soundtrack was my first purchase of a musical. Then My Fair Lady - the London Cast because it was stereo but still Julie, Rex, Stanley and Robert. First Broadway cast recording was Camelot or Hello, Dolly.
