If anyone is going to that, I would like every single detail of it, including
a. Is James Earl Jones still the voice of God?
b. How similar is it to the ENCORES! production?
c. Where is the orchestra?
d. On that same vein, how are the orchestrations compared to Eddie Sauter's original orchestrations, which I am a big fan of?
e. Is Kristin still very sexy as Pasionella?
f. Also, if the orchestra was not on stage, how were the settings?
g. If you have a chance to do some stage dooring, could you PLEASE ask Kristin if this production will be recorded?
h. Marc Kudisch is only listed as playing "The Snake" on every web site. Does he also play the Balladeer, the Royal Tiger Keeper, the Narrator and the Neighborhood Godmother as well?
i. Is Kristin wearing anything to cover her injury like she did with the bedazzled neckbrace in Wicked? If so, if you go stage dooring, please ask her when they expect it to be off her.

I am going on Thursday night, and will be in the front row. I never saw the ENCORES! production, but will try to give a description of this one Friday. I intend to stage door after the show, and will ask Kristin about a recording.I have waited for years to see Kristin in a show (Since YAGMCB) and hopefully meet her finally. After seeing those pictures at the top of this thread, I can't describe how excited and nervous I am right now!

I am seeing it Sunday Night
c. Where is the orchestra?
At 54, the orchestra is usually located in the theatre boxes.
h. Marc Kudisch is only listed as playing "The Snake" on every web site. Does he also play the Balladeer, the Royal Tiger Keeper, the Narrator and the Neighborhood Godmother as well?
Yes.
I go Friday. I was supposed to go last night, but we all know that didn't happen. I'll report back after I see it.
would anyone be nice enough to list any of the discount web sites that this is featured on. or is there any chance of TKTS?
It's been on TDF but it might become a hot ticket.
or it might not.

I'm sure it will be on TKTS (in previews at least) and general rush will be available at the theatre. I spoke to a friend of mine who works for Roundabout and she said that single tickets are not selling nearly as well as they had expected. I guess Kristin isn't the "draw" that most think she is.

this is a show I am very eager to draw!!!
I saw a production of this at Encores and it was one of the greatest performances I have ever seen. Well, it was in my top 20 and I see hundreds of performances each and every year.
This cast is going to be incredible. Brian D'Arcy James and Marc Kudisch are among my favorite singers. All they need is Brent Barrett.
I saw Brian at Carnegie Hall a few weeks ago and he was magnificent. He should have won the Tony over John Lithgow a few years ago for Sweet Smell. That man blows me away. And his eyes.
Not going there.
James Earl Jones is not going the voice of God - Alan Alda is.
You would think God would have better vocal placement.
I know, right?
Well, at least it's their version of a wink to audiences who know that Alan Alda was in the original production. Plus, how many God-like voice overs can James Earl Jones do before it gets boring?
I love Alan Alda as the voice of God - especially since he was one of the leads in the original production.
I would love to hear Barbara Harris as the voice. yes, I know. but I would like it.
Well, I agree that Jones-as-God is played out, but really, Alan Alda, with that nasal whine.

Whatever happened to Harris anyway?
By the way, how do you know that Alan Alda is doing the voice of God?

i will *ALWAYS* be totally crushed out on Barbara Harris!!!!
To the poster asking about discounts, it's also available through Roundabout's HipTix program. You just have to be under 35 (I think), no other qualifications to join.
Thanks, Avab. i just joined.
The street entrance is now lit bright green, like God blew his nose all over Kristin Chenoweth and her apple.
Not looking forward to walking by that over the next few months.
Did they take down the big Marquee or not?
I'm hearing conflicting reports.
