A BLOG FROM ANTHONY RAPP:
Hey everyone --
As promised, here's a post about next year's Rent tour. For those of you who may not have heard, Adam Pascal and I are going all over the country next year with the show. We had such an amazing time last summer back at the Nederlander, so when the producers came to us with the idea of doing this tour, we jumped at the chance. We're going to assemble a great cast to join us, and we'll get to bring the show to so many people who didn't get a chance to see us do it back in the day or last summer.
Anyway, here's the schedule as it stands now. Of course it's subject to change, but as far as we know it's pretty well cemented now. Hope to see you all there!

2nd stop!
Tokyo? Glad that finally worked out.
We got Rent! Awesome! It was stated earlier how it was doubtful that it would come to Chicago again.
Wait, where are the whiny Northern Californians? You guys have to be out there.
(Me, I'm happy and not.)
We all know you're crying on the inside.
Having been to two of his book signings, no, not really.
back in Toronto baby!
may have to visit Buffalo if i can't wait till July 2009 though.
Yay! Got it in St. Louis!
I totally just spooged.
Thank the Lord that they're coming to the black hole of everything Artistic that is Detroit.
oooh that's a happy schedule. I got to school in Ann Arbor (close-ish to Detroit), live a couple hours away from Chicago and my brother lives in St. Louis.
When do tickets go on sale?!
I'm totally going to the Philly and DC ones. WOOT!

I heard about this earlier today, but I'm SOOO excited still.
I'll hopefully be at Chicago and Cleaveland (I'd like to see the opening night!).
"Jaime Lee Kirchner for Mimi" Campaign 2009!
Dang skippy, that's kind of cruel. Assuming they leave the night of Aug 2, they'd arrive late on the 3rd at best. That's a wicked time change to deal with without having to perform the next day.
That's okay, they went through all sorts of crap with the last Rent Asian tour, and that went well... oh wait...
Yes! Los Angeles!
Wow, I am now even more happy I recently moved to Cleveland!

I think that "chaos" would be a safe bet.

I wonder what the rush/lotto situation will be for the tour.
The venues choose and some have done rush in the past. Of course, the venues may change from past tours, since Equity tours won't play some houses.
Looks like all the NY fans will be headed to NJPAC in Newark to see this. Are they REALLY going to do it inside of the mammoth Prudential Hall? I have no doubt they can fill it up, but that show is going to be lost in there.
