Wife just saw a notice on her cell phone Senior Frogs in Times Square has closed after being open about a year. Another one bites the dust.
Senior Frog says, "Get outta my pond!"
Good riddance! Hate that chain!
They sent a notice to your wife's phone that they were closing? How the hell much did she go there?
She must have liked the margaritas.
I remember liking the New York Times review when it opened.
"The Reuben is good, for some reason."

Jordan. We were never there. It was on some website and she just came across it by accident.
You JUST sent me a pm the other day saying how I was still blocked. Take your meds, senior frog. Take your meds.

How are we supposed to feel about this? Are we now mourning a chain restaurant that opened only a year ago, or are we supposed to celebrate that a business failed?
High rents, high prices and same old thing. No surprises here I had discount offers and still didn't go in. Not the first restaurant to close on 42nd between 7th and 8th Ave. There have been a few in the past year . Thanks for the posting Mr. Roxy. I like knowing what's going on in the city.
I thought it was a tshirt store when it opened. On the Street level was the souvenir shop. The restaurant was in the basement so it always look empty from the sidewalk. Plus there was always homeless living right in front. You are probably right Big Baloney, there was another restaurant right next door on the corner that went out of business too.
Bad time to be on the restaurant business. Think there is more than meets the eye here since it closed overnight. I do not celebrate its closing. I feel sorry for the workers especially as they got no notice .I do not celebrate any closing be it a business or a show. Many on this board actively celebrate when a show they deem inferior to their tastes closes.
Surprised by its abrupt closing- it seemed to be the "in" thing for a little while. But it was in a cavernous space in a part of town that is not forgiving. It also appeared to be trying to appeal to everyone, and you can't really be a family-friendly place that also wants to be a rowdy adult free-for-all.
Are you all in on some inside joke by calling it Senior Frogs?
That was the name of the restaurant.
There was a Señor Frogs in Times^2?!?
I'm confused. Are we talking about a Senor Frogs (which has locations all over the world) or some other place called Senior Frogs?
Jordan. I will say it again . When you hit the reply button you unfortunately see all replies even from those blocked. I do take meds but not for the problem you think I have. Have a nice day.

I am too. The Senor Frogs that I have seen, sold way overpriced drinks to drunks. If they served food, it was hamburgers and nachos.

Nothing at all to be confused about. Google is a wonderful tool...

Flo Flab reports that notes on the door at the chain’s 11 Times Square location say that it’s closed. The website of the outpost is also down. The massive bar and restaurant known for its schtick of singing, phallic palm trees drinks, and skateboards as platesopened in August 2015. It took the party atmosphere seriously: Servers reportedly trained for weeks to nail ten different dance routines to perform, and some even created balloon hats table-side. Eater’s team had a pretty fun time live blogging from the eye of the party storm when it first opened, and even Times critic Pete Wells wasn’t immune to the hoopla. Despite mediocre food, he awarded the restaurant a "fair" rating for the whole experience
It was a tourist trap.It closed much to quickly for it to be a normal closing. Some of the employees may start opening up once they realized they have been left twisting in the wind.
Perhaps they can get jobs at the Campbell Apartment.
For those keeping score: Senor Frogs closing has garnered more attention from Roxy than the Four Seasons closing.

Yes, Liza, Google is a wonderful tool. But it is obvious by your included reference, that the Senor Frogs in Times Square was a scaled down version of the Senior Frogs locations that I have only seen in the Caribbean, Mexico and Puerto Rico. These locations are bars with minimal food service. The environment is geared towards adult entertainment. In fact, in those locations I mentioned, I never saw children. May not have been allowed since those locations were in reality, bars.

"Maybe because Mr Roxy is a working class hero and not a snobby rich one percenter?

This just totally confused me, which I admit is easy.
