Heard a rumor that it's Brian D'Arcy James for the roles of Adam, etc. Seems like a good choice, if true.

Blech...I don't see his appeal at all.
JMO, but I feel he's been excellent in nearly impossible roles in The Wild Party and Sweet Smell of Success. Also terrific in Titanic. I didn't go back to see him in Scoundrels though.
ooh see i DO see his appeal and would LOVE it if Brian could get a good thing going again on Broadway

I don't know much about this show except for seeing the Tony performance with the OBC. I'm very excited about this show!
Does it have a plot or is it just a few little stories?
It's made up of three one act musicals. The shows don't have too much to do with each other, except for being principally about the dangers of temptation. There's also a running joke about the color brown that appears in all three musicals.
Act One is The Diary of Adam and Eve, based on the story by Mark Twain. Act Two is The Lady or the Tiger, based on the story by Frank Stockton. Act Three is Passionella, based on the story by Jules Feiffer.

Maybe Barrett Foa will do it.....

No. He's still in Spelling Bee.
Maybe Barrett Foa will do it.....
LOL. I'll be sure to tell him that today.
i wonder how Barrett would come across in Alan Alda's role? hmmm
Man, Mandy Patinkin would be COOL.
I liked Michael Cerveris so much, though. And I guess I could sort of see Brian D'Arcy James? I mean, I can see it happening, I can see him being cast, I genuinely LIKE him, but for some reason the idea of it is sort of annoying me.
what about Steve Martin?
Nah, d'Arcy would PWN it. = ]
According to the USA Today (from Ocober 2, 2006)....
"The delicious Kristin Chenoweth stars with Michael Cerveris and Michael Gets in a Roundabout revival of Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick's 1966 musical."
First, the paper screwed up because I'm pretty sure they were referring o Malcolm Gets. I'll check to see if there's a correction today.
Second, is this accurate? I haven't anything from the board. Perhaps Elysa Gardner (the writer) confused this run with the concert?

They're recasting the 2 male parts.
My wife wants patrick swayze, im just happy Kristen is back
How long is Patrick Swayze performing in "Guys and Dolls" on the West End?
I could not tell you who I would want to perform opposite Kristin. Someone who she will have great chemistry with. It would be awesome to get both Michael and Malcolm back.
Well we all know I'm pro d'Arcy. He'd be amazing.
Not that I'm biased or anything!
FoscasBohemianDream,
yes - I am crossing my fingers too -- it's going to be a battle but I will be working hard to get in for EVITA. It's just REALLY fortunate that the design for this version doesn't have him as "Che' Guevara" but rather as "Che'" the everyman of sorts... i think... at least that's what it looks like.
Also, I think B.D. Wong would be awesome as the Snake. He's in the age range they are looking for too I believe.
I work in the Roundabout offices, so I usually get wind of the names being tossed around pretty early.
As of last week, no one has been signed, but I did hear BDJ's name mentioned here and there as a possibility.
So why isn't Roundabout signing Malcolm Gets?
