Yes, Mr. O'Keefe said they're going in on May 7th (to confirm) to record.
I was at the movie theatre yesterday and they played "So Much Better!" from the show.

I heard that in a theatre, too! Also, on Legally Blonde's myspace they have "OMIGOD You Guys".
I believe there was a demo put out with "Omigod You Guys", "So Much Better" and "Take it Like a Man"... so that's where the songs are coming from.
With the hype it's receiving and the Tonys looming, i'd guess that even with a May 7th recording date, they'd be able to push it to the stores at or around Tony time.
Not sure where anyone is hearing "two days before the Tonys" for anything, but cds come out in stores on Tuesdays only. The Tonys are always on a Sunday, so it would have to be two days after the Tonys or a week before.
I'm hearing that Sh-K-Boom is recording Legally Blonde.

Sh-k-Boom now lists it on their website
"You can order one at the Palace too."
Yes, you can- I preordered mine tonight. What is funny though is that, i don't know maybe I am wrong about this, but I found it weird how they don't accept cash for pre-ordering it though. When I pre-ordered another cd from another show I was allowed to pay cash & they gave me a receipt with it. Anyone else find this weird or did the other show just do something out of the ordinary with allowing cash & giving a reciept for it?
Perhaps they dont accept cash because they want to have a record of you ordering one in case things get screwed up. It might be for your benefit.
It's smarter not to use cash. With a credit card, you can hold on to the number and charge it only when the Cd is shipped, rather than charging you now, then refunding it if something falls through.
that's true, good points there by munkustrap and carymetorent...I guess it is to my benefit that they made me use a credit card for this cd. Never thought of that really.

if this show can get a cast cd why can't good vibrations, and in my life and hot feet. i hate to see any of these shows fade away forever.
^ Because those shows sucked.
According to Talkin' Broadway, the release date is set for July 17, 2007.
You can also offically pre-order it online at LegallyBlondethemusica.com now!
Does this coincide with the release dates of Dracula & Lestat?
(OK Bryan give me my $ 10)
Cannot wait for July 17th, as I love this show! OMIGOD YOU GUYS!!!

They did announce a date for recording and a release date. I cannot remember where I saw it but seems it will be recorded in May and out in June? But it was offically announced.
