I have to say that Young Frankenstein's curtain was one of if not my favorite curtain of all time. I love how it looked 3D as well as how the moon, moved until when it was directly above the castle which signified the beginning of the show.

I was just watching the Broadway production of Into the Woods on my phone whist working, and had a question. As we all know they pan over that beautiful scrim at the beginning as they show the credits.
It's very beautiful and looks to be pretty elaborate.
Just a roundabout estimate, how much does a scrim like this cost to have made?
I always liked the map of Oz at WICKED.

Maybe because I've become a fan of the soup, but I'm really partial to the WOMEN ON THE VERGE OF A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN curtain that featured Pepa's recipe for gazpacho. It set the tone very nicely for an entertaining show that folded way too soon.
I think the show curtain can do so much. When I sit in the theatre staring at one before the show starts it excites me.

Still the same, but brand spanking new for 25th Anniversary.
I love Beauty and the Beast, Matilda, Wicked, and Newsies. Oh, and Anything Goes!

Most of these pictures will not load for me, does anyone know somewhere I can see most of these curtains? I really want to see these.
Some new ones from my recent trip to New York...
Peter and the Starcatcher
Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike
Soul Doctor
Annie
Pippin
The Assembled Parties
Cinderella (before Act I and during Intermission)
I love the ANNIE and CINDERELLA curtains.
It really bugs me when show curtains have the name of the show printed in the middle. Do you think the audience has forgotten what show they're at already?
"Wait, this is PIPPIN? I thought it was EDWARD ALBEE'S SEASCAPE!"
Didn't PIPPIN just have a regular curtain?

Pippin has the circus tent for Act I and the name curtain for intermission.
