I'm surprised no one posted this yet.
I can not wait to see this.
And apparently god Himself (Stephen Sondheim) loves it too

SO excited for this. I was afraid the initial announcement was just a pie-in-the-sky idea that would slowly fade away. But opening in March? I can't even prepare myself.
What an amazing season this is going to be for new musicals!
I have heard nothing but great things about this. I'm very excited.
I still laugh out loud everytime I watch SP Bigger, Longer, Uncut.
The Les Miz parody with the French kid is hilarious. And Satan and Sadam are a riot everytime they're on screen.
Easily one of my top 10 favorite comedies ever.

I loved SPBLU but Team America or whatever it was called was all but unwatchable.
true. Team America had moments that were priceless, but it dragged once the novelty wore off.
Kim Jong Il's solo ballad however was as good as anything in SPBLU.
Cannot wait for this!
And now it looks like we have NINE new musicals this season (plus possibly Catch Me If You Can, which seems very likely), all but one of which will have original scores.
Didn't really care for either movie, especially the South Park movie but I like the earlier episodes of South Park.
Your loss. Bigger, Longer, and Uncut is one of the best musicals of the last twenty years.
The South Park movie is on my top 10 favorites, and the La Resistance Medley is my favorite scene. Remember Robin Williams singing Blame Canada at the Oscars? It was amazing.
I'm so happy they're coming to Broadway. Matt and Trey are brilliant comedians and I'm eager to see how that translates to live theatre instead of cartoons.

I see a flight from Los Angeles to see this in my future. This is a MUST SEE.
The SP movie was hysterical and the episode that dealt with the Mormon church is still one we quote from....(at least the dum, dum, dum............)
Jet Blue, I need a sale this spring.
The article doesn't mention Marc Shaimen, did he write the music?
The Les Miz parody with the French kid is hilarious.
Heh, that scene is great. And not sure if you knew this already or not, but the voice singing "La Resistance" is Howard McGillin!
"The article doesn't mention Marc Shaimen, did he write the music?"
No, Robert Lopez of Avenue Q fame is doing it.
Kad, no loss. Just didn't care for them. If I had to say I liked one more than the other, I would have to say Team America over the South Park movie. But I would never watch either again.
In the comments after the article it says that Shaiman wrote "Blame Canada".
He did. Shaiman wrote the music for the South Park movie. He is completely uninvolved with Book of Mormon.

weird how i predicted this would be tony nominated about 5 days ago and reidel copies me..ugh.
I predicted it would be Tony nominated last winter when it was still in workshops, so I guess you copied me.
Yes. Michael Riedel copied your opinion that this highly anticipated show, with its well-regarded creative team, which has been emerging from reading with very positive buzz, which will now possibly be opening up in the heart of Tony time, will be nominated for Tony awards.
The guy playing our Finch in H2$ was one of the persormers for this. He did the performance, and then headed straight here to start rehearsals.
He's a hottie, btw.
