Surprised this hasn't been started:
Opening: A+ (even with the magic disappearing box reveal)
TV Show: A+

True Colors/Memoriam: A-

Matilda: B
Bring It On: C
Christmas Story: A- - made me want to see the show
Kinky Boots - B+ loved the staging much more than the song

Cinderella: A
Annie: Hard Knock B, Little Girls B+
Pippin: A (despite CBS's best efforts to screw it up)

Rascals - F (mostly because it had little to do with theatre and caused the show to go long)
Motown - B

My favorite thread every year!

In order from favorite to least favorite:

1. Opening number
2. Cinderella
3. Pippin
4. Annie
5. A Christmas Story
**I thought the above were great representations of their show and need no explanation**

6. Matilda- I just CANNOT understand what they are singing in "Revolting Children". I thought it was well-staged and I really like the choreography, but after seeing that song on 3 different TV appearances, I'm still left guessing the words.

7. Kinky Boots- I really wanted to like it. I think this number just doesn't read well on TV. I haven't seen the show, but from what I hear, this number is a showstopper. I enjoyed the performance of "Sex Is In The Heel" on The View much more and really wish they would have done that.

8. Bring It On- I loved this show, one of my favorites I saw last year. This number just lacked energy and the spark the show had. I really wish they had done "Born To Do" or "Cross the Line"

9. Motown- I just wasn't interested. Didn't really have a previous interest in seeing this show and really don't now either.

Overall, I thought the performances and broadcast as a whole were very good this year!

Matilda=B- (I still can't understand the lyrics-good thing they put them on the chalkboard)
Bring It on=A- (I remembered how much I liked it when I saw this again-a lot of fun)
Kinky Boots=B+ (I loved the show but the staging here was strange to me-it didn't look like the show I saw.)
A Christmas Story=A- (they did their job-I'm hoping to catch it at MSG this season)

Pippin=A+ (the energy was amazing-gotta love it!)
Cinderella=B (the costume change is better in the show)
Annie=B+ (I want to see Jane Lynch now. I was left wishing I could hear Anthony Warlow)

Motown=D (Only reason it didn't get an F was the Jackson 5 stuff-that kid is terrific)
Rascals=C (Why did this have to be there?)
True Colors=A- (I thought this was a lovely tribute song to the individuals we lost this year)

Opening-A-
Closing-B+

The sh*tty camerawork was definitely the primary downfall for most of the numbers, although the really good ones managed to shine through regardless. I'll take crappy camerawork over the sound issues that have plagued the Tonys in the past. Updated On: 6/10/13 at 11:37 PM

Opening: A (pretty solid with a few surprisingly hilarious lyrics)

TV Show Song: A+ (the best written portion of the evening, especially Laura Benanti's rant at Will Chase)

Bring it On: C (Enjoyable, but just very "meh")

Annie: B+ (Jane really surprised me)

A Christmas Story: B (the song was a bit cringeworthy, but the tap-dancing kid and Caroline O'Connor more than made up for it)

Cinderella: A- (this show is now on my must-see list)

Pippin: A+ (Although MJT hit a few sour notes, it was just the sh!t)

Motown: C- (Pretty Lousy. "Do You Love Me" would've been a better choice to rock the house)

Rascals: D (It would be an F if I didn't like the song)

True Colors: A+ (Every Memorial Segment on every awards show needs to be held up to this standard)

Matilda: B- (Still can't understand the words, although hearing Miss Honey's section of "When I Grow Up" made me tear a little bit, as I'm familiar with her character's backstory)

Phantom: C- (This was like a bad recreation of a 1980s MTV Music Video)

Kinky Boots: A- (Solid Performance, but they should've done "Sex Is In The Heel")

Closing: B+ (The lyrics were a bit sour, but Audra McDonald's general fierceness made me wet with joy)

KINKY BOOTS: B-

CINDERELLA: B+ (the quick changes were praised so much that I was disappointed with the poor execution)

TV SHOW SONG: B+ (had a hard time hearing it with the applause)

PIPPIN: A

RASCALS: F

MOTOWN: B

PHANTOM: F (and that's coming from a fan of the show)

Just wanna throw out that the line "Kathie Lee's a Broadway lyricist, so anything can happen" was the best diss of the night...Even my mother (who suffered through SCANDALOUS with me) said "Oh sh!t", they went there".

Could anyone create this as a poll where you rank the shows by the numbers 1-5 (5=A, 4=B, etc) and they would turn into bar graphs? That would be interesting to see because of all the different interests.

Opening: A+
TV Show Song: A-
"True Colors"/In Memoriam: B (photos were too fast or not well shown)
MATILDA: D (like the show)
BRING IT ON: C-
A CHRISTMAS STORY: B+ (might go see it this year, so accomplished what it needed to)
KINKY BOOTS: C+ (a number about two leads who can't dance; frankly, most of this show feels as though it came off a conveyor belt)
CINDERELLA: B
ANNIE: B (my friends were at the rehearsal, where they said she was much funnier)
PIPPIN: A-
Rascals montage: F (wtf?)
MOTOWN: C
PHANTOM: F
FINALE A (don't care how it happened, NPH singing about winners while Audra sang a counterpoint NYC song was pretty amazing)

OVERALL SHOW B (but why put on musical numbers from third-rate, closed shows and not let the great Cicely Tyson enjoy her triumph? Shameful)
