What happened to this?
Got me. I have on pre order thru Amazon. I assume it is still coming out.

I was going to preorder mine on Amazon, and it is still showing a 2/17 release date, so it should still be coming. I am looking forward to this album!
It was always set to be released mid-February.

I'm hoping Broadway Records will release a track list for the CD sometime soon! Am curious to see what's included and what may have been cut.
And it's cheaper to order it directly from the Broadway Records website rather than Amazon -- $13.95 vs $18.98 -- and I believe Broadway Records may ship their pr-orders sooner than the Feb 17th release date

Will it be released on spotify? I would like to listen to it before I decide to purchase it.
It's being released by Broadway Records, and while some of their stuff is on Spotify (Bonnie and Clyde, Lysistrata Jones), most isn't so I wouldn't count on it.
I just pre-ordered my copy from Broadway Records! Really hoping that they do end up shipping earlier than the 17th. I'm getting antsy.

Amazon often lowers the price closer to release, and you get the lower price if you preordered it. There are a number of threads complaining about their price, and all of those have yielded the same end result, which is a lowered price upon release.

Very cool that they are adding Side Show as a Bonus track...when I saw it in La Jolla, that song was in the show, but by the time it hit Broadway it had been cut.
Also noticed that Amazon now lists the release date as February 24th; so, it has apparently been pushed back 1 week.
They just posted a pic on FB saying "February 17th is getting closer."
So I'm guessing the official release hasn't changed. Maybe just when Amazon expects to have copies
Amazon now says the release date is February 24th.
I just received this email from Broadway Records: "The album is being released on the 17th. We would expect that it would go out within 7 business days from the release date and be in your hands promptly."
What about the digital release date? I remember they released Bonnie & Clyde on itunes a bit earlier than the physical release.

I'm guessing that the digital release will end up being right around 2/17, maybe a day early and then the physical CDs will ship 2/17. From what I have been told by people connected with the show, the recording sounds terrific! Very excited to get my copy.
I don't know why I thought this was coming out in April. For those who saw the show at La Jolla, how did the title song fit in?

If I am remembering correctly (since it was way back in Nov 2013 when I saw it in La Jolla)...Side Show (the song) came right after One Plus One Equals Three...it's the moment when Daisy is complaining about being second fiddle to Violets wedding and Violet sings the song to basically tell her that she will never just be secondary to her.....it was a very nice song, but I understood why it was cut -- it really slowed the momentum of the show at that point and the feelings were easily expressed in a couple of lines of dialog instead

54 Below just announced Emily and Erin doing a show together on March 5
And the cast doing two shows on March 9. March 9 sounds like they will be doing songs from the show.
Here is Come Look at the Freaks from the new cast recording.

haterobics: the March 9 show will be hosted by Bill Russell. It will include songs from the show, songs from the show that didn't make it on the CD, some fun new arrangements of old favorites, some songs that NEVER were in the show (trunk songs); and the song that was cut in La Jolla - "Side Show." That's all I can say! There will be other fun surprises.
I'm looking forward to it (just seeing the 7:30 one) and am also attending the Erin/Emily show earlier that week (of course!)
