But good and he's a great dancer so I am looking forward to the whole performance.
Having seen Jordan live and after listening to his rendition now quite regularly, Morrison really does pale in comparison for me.

It wasn't long enough to make an impression (phrasing) but what was there sounded good to me.
Oh come on people. It wasn't even a 1 minute video and he switched up the phrasing cause he's in a different setting and it required a different mood. I wanted Jeremy to take this Broadway as much as the next guy, but come on...
As long as it's not Jeremy's signature WHAYL, I'm happy.
The clip is obviously short, but he sounds pretty good to me too.
He sounded great to me.
Having grown used to Jordan's version as well, I think Morrison sounds good vocally, but the new orchestrations on the song just sound much too popish and is dulls the beautiful emotions in the song.

Full song.
Morrison sounds fine, it's the song that's nothing to sing about. Snore.
Miss Jeremy Jordan singing this

I sure hope that was just the version they used for that concert....if the big key change is gone permanently, tables will be flipped.

I think Matthew sounds lovely and after seeing him in South Pacific and Light in the Piazza, I am totally looking forward to seeing him here as well. I haven't loved everything he has done but I haven't loved everything that Jeremy has done either.
Is he going to be as good as, not as good as, better than Jeremy Jordon? I mean really...what does it matter? I am sure many people that could be excellent in the role. But this is Matthew's role, Jeremy was able to borrow it for a while..and both are moving forward.
I like him. I know he hasn't been singing showtunes for a while, but he really sounds great.

I, for one, am glad I saw the ART production. JJ was awesome, even though his accent was wonky and he was too young for the role.
Finding Neverland
If you keep bitterly comparing Morrison to Jordan, then Morrison will never reach your expectations because you'll constantly be convincing yourself that he's not as good.

Did anyone actually think he was going to sound bad? He's a proven commodity. No one should be surprised that he can sing. Whether he's better or worse than Jordan is not relevant. He wasn't hired because he was better. He was hired because he was older and more famous. No amount of wishing and hoping is going to make Jordan as old or as famous as Morrison, so what is the point of comparisons?

Ha, this looks like fun!

Some sample of him singing Neverland it was like seconds...I find the song a bit bla and he sounds fine if a little bored with it all and I did hear him sing the whole song.
All this fuss over basic white boys, we could have had Julian Ovenden originally. Oof. Now there is someone with a voice to swoon over.
