I appoligise for any spelling mistakes. I may be on my mobile. Clumsy fingers and small little touchscreen keys don't mixx. I try to spellcheck, but I may miss something.
Thanks for this, and it's just as scary as I remember! But what I'd really like back online is their "Lovely Ladies" - or in that production, "Lovely People" which was all about how Fantine was forced to sell scraps of fabric from her basket.
And their concept that berets = French never fails to slay me.
"What- and quit show business?" - the guy shoveling elephant shit at the circus.
It's just a regular high school. This is a few years old, at least.
When a show is this bad, I blame only the adults involved.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I wonder if they tried to add a march at the end and said ah screw it it's too hard with this many kids onstage.
I really feel for the adults involved in this, being a high school musical theater director myself. I can only bring out a certain amount of talent from each kid. That said, as much as I would love to direct a HS Les Miz, I would not because I know ahead of time that I don't have the voices for these roles. The director should have known that before choosing this show. I do enjoy Marius's beret though

Yes, they are just another high school. In addition, the size of the cast compared to the normal amount of special needs children in a school shows that it would be quite abnormal to have that many special needs kids in a school, especially that want to "sing" "dance" and "act". Here is the link to their school district Jr High and High page.

In our millions, in our billions, we are most powerful when we stand together. TW4C unwaveringly joins the worldwide masses, for we know our liberation is inseparably bound.

You really think the Broadway revival in 20 years will be any different?
Some people might be offended by the word "ladies" because we have to keep it gender neutral and some people take offense in people selling their body so it can't be in any movie or show anymore, so it has to be fabric. This production is actually quite progressive as it is exactly what America is heading towards.
Edit: 20 years, what am I saying? The exact same thing already is happening in Grease and Rocky Horror live. Even the words "lacy lingerie" are offensive. Let alone prostitution or smoking. We don't want people to find out they wore underwear in the 50's, and that flirting, smoking or prostitution ever existed, and of course we don't want anybody to replicate anything they see in any show or movie, so let's erase it from history. Next year, the Lion King re-edited with Mufasa's death removed, because we don't want people throwing their brothers off a cliff.
Edit 2: The Valjean at 2.40 sounds remarkably the same as Ramin Karimloo in terms of intonation and pitch.
