Granted, it was two seconds, but Laverne looked pretty great.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Again, a wig for Victoria Justice would have been great. But I'm loving all of their looks, especially Riff and Columbia. Rosscoe, I'd guess October, given the Halloween feel, but there isn't a specific date yet. Sometime in the Fall.
I am curious to know why you wish they would have wigged Victoria Justice. Susan Sarandon didn't wear a wig in the 1975 film and she was just fine. Since when does the role of "Janet" require a wig?
From the clips it looks like the director just told everyone to imitate the movie actors. If this was supposed to be a tribute to the film why does the design not reflect that concept?

I just wish Victoria as Janet had curly hair rather than straight hair. That's all.
They/them.

I have had no desire to see this after they announced that Cox wax playing Frank. You don't cast a famous trangendered person to play a man who is a transvestite. Cox is a woman and looks it in these pics and trailers. You knew Frank was a man. I will most likely see this on demand only for Annaleigh. JMO

That doesn't necessitate a wig, what she would need is a curling iron. LOL.
I didn't say curling iron because some of the first moments of the show are spent in the rain. I like what I'm seeing so far, to be quite honest. I genuinely think Laverne will turn out an incredible performance, and in the trailer, it doesn't look nearly as cheap as the small handful of set photos we have.

I must be missing some footage. All I saw were a couple of one liners, in closeup. I wasn't aware of a cheap set, because I didn't really see one. The few inches of set that showed looked like the movie, which had the cheapest and trashiest set (on purpose) you could imagine.
How can anyone judge a film from a 30 second clip. I'll judge when I see the entire film.
I am really on the fence about this. The original is so iconic and was truly groundbreaking. It was so ahead of it's time that many did not get it or truly understand it. It really took some time for the general public to catch up to it, but once it did it got the recognition it deserved.
I see very little to improve upon and there's really no need to introduce this to a new generation by producing a new version, it's been handed down generation to generation.
The last midnight screening I went to more than half of the audience was made up of a mix of high school and/or college students.
