A double feature where Jeff Daniels plays howard(when I saw Network all I could think of Daniels role in the newsroom) and Bryan Cranston as Atticus. I think it would sell like gang busters.
In our millions, in our billions, we are most powerful when we stand together. TW4C unwaveringly joins the worldwide masses, for we know our liberation is inseparably bound.

If Howard Beale was a real person and alive today instead of just being a character in a play, could we see him playing Jeff Daniels playing Atticus Finch? And do we think he would be eligible for a best actor nomination or would he not be eligible because he is playing the actor playing the part, not playing the actual part? And would he sign at the stage door?
Then, the ghost of Peter Finch can play Atticus, and the ghost of Gregory Peck can play Howard Beale. With the ghosts of Truman Capote and Harper Lee as Dill and Scout.
I think Kristoffer Polaha would be the perfect replacement for Daniels once he exits the production. And he should definitely be considered for the tour if he is interested.
Interestingly, the night I saw "Network" Jeff Daniels was in the audience. Mild spoiler alert - at the point Cranston went into the audience and took a seat, everyone could see on the monitors that Daniels was sitting right behind him, trying hard but failing to look inconspicuous. As he was getting ready to return to the stage, Cranston finally noticed Daniels - it was a genuinely funny moment.
You can't seriously think that an actor would want to (or even be allowed to) learn another role while performing every day in the current show...not to mention contractual, producer issues etc. I am guessing this is just a flight of fancy because if you really are a theater fan or pro, you know this doesn't even rise to the definition of unlikely.
