This music is beautiful with the blending harmonies. I like that it's piano based. I'm kind of surprised... I was expecting everything about this show to be a little bland. Pretty good so far.

It's definitely a different approach. Lately, the Broadway hits have been relatively contemporary rock / popish musicals and this seems to bring Broadway back a few decades. We'll see how it does. Sutton sounds great.
J-Pill, only these song samples are piano-based... as explained on the site...
"These are not from the official cast album. These are from a sampler CD circulated among professionals and investors who are interested in working with the show. In most cases all you will hear is the actors and an accompanying piano. Since this is still a work in progress, there might be changes to the music or the lyrics from what you hear in these samples to what you'll hear in the final show."
"I've got to get me out of here
This place is full of dirty old men
And the navigators and their mappy maps
And moldy heads and pissing on sugar cubes
While you stare at your books."
Don't you people realize that by discussing these songs without seeing the show in its entirety in its final, frozen state that you are personally KILLING THEATER FOREVER??????'
wow this is awesome! My grandmother and I have a tradition that every year we go see one broadway show together for Christmas...I think I've picked this years show! Wow I can't wait!
Sutton is just amazing, as per usual, and I'm excited to see how this is staged!
You're always sorry,
You're always grateful,
You hold her, thinking:
"I'm not alone."
You're still alone.

Wow. Those are surprisingly great sound clips. Astonishing is well...astonishing! Sutton sounds wonderful in it as well as Better and the other songs she sings. I am beginning to think maybe this might be her Tony year again.
Thank you Tiny-Toon. Those links work well for me.
