Hey!
Me and my very best friend have been asked to do a duet benefit concert at a local theatre. We need some really good songs. We already have a few-
For Good - Wicked
Wrong Note Rag - Wonderful Town
In His Eyes - J&H
How The Other Half Lives - TMM
She's "alto" and I'm "soprano" but both of us can sing both parts in all of those songs, so our ranges are pretty wide.
Any suggestions?

"I Will Never Leave You" from Side Show
"Bosom Buddies" from Mame
"Popular" can be made easily a duet or it can also be done with three girls. That's how people performed it at camp- with three girls.
what is this feeling - wicked
not a duet but could be re-arranged that way - matchmaker - fiddler
WHO WILL LOVE ME AS I AM- SideShow
MARRY THE MAN TODAY- Guys and Dolls
MUNGOJERRIE AND RUMPLETEAZER- Cats (this can be really cool)b
I Know Him So Well from Chess
I Still Believe from Miss Saigon
"You could drive a person crazy" from Company (It's a trio, but you could probably arrange something)
"Ohio" from WT might be a better choice than "Wrong Note Rag"?
"I know him so well" from Chess
"Take me or Leave me" from Rent
"Matchmaker" from Fiddler (also a trio, but...)
"Class" from Chicago
....check out Emily Skinner and Alice Ripley's album "Duets" for a LOT of other possibilities!

"It's Never That Easy/I've Been Here Before" from Closer Than Ever
There's also that great duet from City of Angels...the name escapes me. "What You Don't Know About Women". That's it.

Yes, "What You Don't Know About Women" is a great one.
When you have a general question like this, the "search" feature can be a really great resource.

Anything You Can Do - from Annie Get Your Gun (yes, originally a duet for a man and a woman, but there's no reason why it couldn't be sung by two women)
Adelaide's Lament - from Guys And Dolls (saw this once in a local concert and it was hilarious, the other was 'Adelaide' reading this book, singing the verses and the other sung all those 'In other words...' parts - while the other is sneezing, coughing etc. It was brilliant!)
Friendship from Anything Goes is great. As well as Duets, check out Emily Skinner and Alice Ripley's Unsuspecting Hearts. Their version of Live With Somebody You Love from Martin Guerre is pretty and works better as a female duet than a male duet in my opinion.
