Ok, sorry for another song request....
But does anyone know of any good songs in which a guy belts - solos, duets, etc - like (sorry for this) the end of Defying Gravity or No Good Deed?
Hopefully, you understand what I am asking...lol
"Heaven on Their Minds"--Jesus Christ Superstar

AMAZING male belting songs.

"Make Them Hear You" from Ragtime
"One Song Glory" could be belted, I guess.
"Barrett's Song" - Titanic
"I'm Martin Guerre"
"Those Magic Changes" from Grease! (the way Sam Harris sings it, hehe)
I think there's a lot of male belting in Lippa's The Wild Party.
Does "Glory" count? I'm no voice expert.
i would almost think "Role of a Lifetime" from BARE (towards the end), but i really am not sure... i didn't see it on stage... wish i did

Role of a Lifetime could be belted, sure. Not as much as some other songs, but yes.

What do i need with love from Thoroughly Modern Millie
All Good Gifts from Godspell
Old Red Hills of Home from parade
Hope this helps!
Well, if you're a tenor, 'Sit Down, You're Rocking the Boat' can be considered a high belter song.
Especially the high F's and G's scattered throughtout the song in places like "...brought my dice along..." etc
This is one of my favorite songs to sing and to perform.

Are there any copies available of Role of a Lifetime? I'd love to have that!
I second All Good Gifts. If you can hit the notes loud and well, it gives guaranteed chills.

"Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat" is a GREAT song to belt! When I did GUYS AND DOLLS, the guy playing Nicely Nicely Johnson had one of those classic, Frank Sinatra-esque voices and it totally fit the time period and his rendition of "Sit Down..." was amazing!!

If you can belt a high G, I can send you an arrangement of 'Proud of Your Boy' that would be close to what it seems your looking for.
