Has anyone ever noticed that there are a large amount of shows that have a character named "Billy" in them?
For example, there's Billy Crocker in Anything Goes, Billy Flynn in Chicago, Billy Lawlor in 42nd Street, and Billy Bigelow in Carousel. Can anyone think of any others?

There is a show called Billy, yes. (I only really know because we did it at school.) Also, Me and My Girl - Bill. I'm sure there's more, I've noticed this before, but I've gone blank at the moment.
I don't know if this counts, but Assassins has Bill Mckinley...and of course there's the SONG "Bill" in Showboat, but I don't believe that there's a character with that name in the show...

You asked for it. Here are all the Broadway shows with characters of bill, billy, or billie....

And there were shows that were not on Broadway like "Billy Liar".
