The answer to #7 is Sondheim at his most surprising and perverse.

I love his wording of that last answer.

i agree about taboo. i really love that score and find myself listening to the cd very frequently
What's funny, Capn, is that I had four different people e-mail this to me last night. I seriously think that's a sign I've got to tone down the obsession a bit.

Question #11:
What do you really think of Adam Guettel's work?
Haha, I know what you mean, StickToPriest. I get Peter Pan articles constantly.
I read this article and thought those were not the questions I'd be asking him....what would you ask?

Do you really have a bondage dungeon in your house? Is that how Neil Patrick Harris got cast in Assassins?
Was your neighbor Katherine Hepburn really the source for Mrs. Lovett?
it's "katharine"- if you don't get it right, she pulls a poltergeist.

Priest, that amused me a great deal.
I'd heard before that he loved Taboo and I like that he gave something that's very different from his own style a chance. And he doesn't have perfect pitch? That's like almost suggesting that Sondheim is flawed....
*gasp* sondheim flawed?! Is that possible???
"Taboo. I thought it was inventive, and I was touched by it, and I thought it looked good. All the way through I had a good time. And a few of the songs really moved me. I got involved in it--and it's not my kind of music."
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
*gasp*
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..
*gasp*
eeeeeeeeeeeee-*passes out*
(I liked Taboo, too. I'm really happy that Sondheim agrees with me)

Wow! He's a fan of Taboo! That's just awesome.
Fascinating read! And, I, too, love that he loved TABOO.
He was at closing night... I think he saw it before that, too.
He has mentioned that in a few things.
