Rosario Dawson...the weakest link

Rosario's acting was good...but her singing was weak to me....i said it before and i'll say it again...Mya would have done a better job!!! anyhow..the movie was so amazing that no one could ruin it...and she wasn't that bad either...by the way...Anthony Rapp said in the clip that Jonathan Larson was straight..is that true? i thought he was gay all along?

Jonathan was straight, but as Tick Tick Boom shows, clearly had close gay friends. Being in musical theater, how could he not have had?

i haven't seen the film but i *do* have the soundtrack and i have to strongly disagree with you.
and judging from what the fans have and the reviewers have to say about her overall performance i would have to say you are most definitely in the MINORITY on this one.

Therefore...YOU are THE WEAKEST LINK!

i saw this video of him on the last day of his job as a server...i thought he was so gay!!! anyhow...i think he is absolut genious....i loved the movie!!! it was outstanding...im gonna try to go see it again tomorrow...i want it to be # 1 this weekend.

Rosarios voice was fine. its not opera were dealing with. and her wonderful performance makes up for any imperfections in her voice.

I happened to like Rosario a lot. Definitely one of the best things about the film.

Can the immature audiences just freaking let an actor do their work? Rosario was great in the film and a far better singer than I expected.. How can someone who hasn't even SEEN the film even waste Board space with a ridiculous review like this??? GROW UP!

I personally loved Rosario, and the entire cast. It was the most moving film I've ever seen, and I applaud Chris Columbus for this wonderful re-interpretation.

She was, in my opinion, the best part. So she wasn't screaming her head off. She wasn't reading the whole thing through some cigarette ruined voice either. She had an unremarkable but convincing singing voice that captured the nuances of her character. I think that's what is called for by the role. She probably won't release a record anytime soon though.

Until you learn to stop posting criticisms of performers in rude ways, you are going to get attacked. Learn to be tactful and respectful. Giving Rosario her own thread saying that she is "the weakest link" is hateful. Your opinion of her would have done well in any of the other 525,600 Rent threads, most notably the REVIEW thread.

Starting an entire thread to criticize her--WITH the insulting catchphrase of "the weakest link". Why did you feel you had to start ANOTHER thread on this film just to sorta say you thought she was bad?
