mine is Gimme, Gimme from Throughly Modern Millie...no one does it like Sutton, but the song is amazing!!!

Definetly "Unexpected Song" from Song and Dance. "All for Laura" from Woman in White and "Don't Rain On My Parade" from Funny Girl. Those are top three for me.

Okay...I really can't think of any modern shows that have a true "showstopper" to me...but of course, I am not a huge fan of the modern pop musical. Sue Me.

Do Act I finales count as showstoppers? I always thought they didn't count because the show stops anyway.

"Betrayed" from The Producers, particularly, the musical version, because it has that long "Intermission" pause that literally stops the show.

I would have to say Lily's Eyes, at least the productions I have seen. I also love Bring Him Home from Les Miserables.


It was 6 hours, I don't even like to have sex and eat bacon for 6 hours.
