That was one pain in the ass. I went to every theater's box office today and most of the things I wanted to see were sold out or only had seats I wasn't about to pay for.
When I was in NYC on Feb 22, I saw the board go down to one show "Fanny Hill" and then a minute later say "All Shows Are Sold Out. Please come back at 5:00 for evening performances."
& I think just about every NIGHT show was close to. I (stupidly) decided to go to the city last night. Here's my story: Tried Hairspray lotto- lost. Crowded. Tried The Fantasticks student rush- was told show was gonna sell out, come back 10 mins before show. Tried Company student rush- there was a line of atleast 50 students waiting. Tried Producers Rush- no tickets. Come back for standing room. Tried Chorus Line lotto- VERY crowded. lost. Tried Jewtopia student rush- show gonna sell out, come back 10 mins before show. FINALLY went to TKTS & found 1/2 off tickets for The Fantasticks. LOVED the show.
Everything was sold last night too. Terrible! I wanted to see Les Miz!
...What happened next, was stranger still, a woman breathless and afraid, appeared out of the night, completely dressed in white. She had a secret she would tell, of one who had mistreated her. Her face and frightened gaze, my mind cannot erase...But then she ran from view. She looked so much like you...

The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
I couldn't walk up 6th avenue in the 40's around 5 pm last night. Tourists cheek by jowl. Read in the paper today that we have 1.25 million visitors this week alone. The dollar is a piece of toilet paper so I can't say I'm surprised. Greatest percentage of visitors are form Asia.
Have house seats for Grey Gardens tomorrow night. Couldn't get tix from the box-office.
"You can't just leave a meringue once you start it!"
I am so glad I wound up not going in yesterday. Me, my mom, and my sister were going to go in for Jersey Boys rush for my birthday, but my mom couldn't get off, so we changed it to January, and then the day before yesterday, she said she was managed to get off for my birthday but I said January would be better.
That's so wonderful for Broadway and on my birthday, Wow!
It was the same in Chicago... I got all geared up, went to the Spelling Bee lottery, and The lady at the box office told me it was being held this week because it was all sold out...
