They cant afford to let this go into another weekend with future sales for Christmas gifts just around the corner..right or wrong its over Wed.
Can you back this up? Or were you just feeling left out of creating a stupid unnecessary thread?
My friend is a big shot at Telecharge, She says sales were beyond dismal this weekend for future shows.
And because of that she haphazardly picked Wednesday evening as the ending time? Having spoken to people A LOT more inside this situation than a Telecharge rep I can tell you that no one is predicting an end. It could be tomorrow, Wednesday evening or December. Of coarse sales are slow, whos going to pay for a product that they might not be able to use?
I have no clue for a date (I don't really have proof for anything) but I'd be shocked if they let this strike go on too much longer. It seems like they'd lose so much money!

I think it's too early to make that kind of prediction. Bottom line, money will prevail.
Why in God's green acres would you purchase an advanced sale ticket now? If you had a seat for Wicked this past few days, it's not like its easy to exchange it. Of course sales are dismal.
Oh for Christ's sake. Where are the moderators when we need them to to delete unnecessary threads such as this one?

They probably went on strike too.
They're Off-Broadway catching some good theatre.

That may be true, but it's not legitimate backup for claiming that it'll absolutely be over on Wednesday.
I think I love you Rontel.
If they cave, they will have no credibility in the future & may as well open the vaults for all the unions.
I hope they stick it out until a fair deal for all is reached.

i hope they cave by the 14th. its cold out and my feet hurt.
my favorite part of the strike so far is that there is always one producer strolling the line trying to suck up to any "names" in the show who are showing support to the union.

I think I love Rotel too!
Gosh I hope you are correct with the 14th....although the 15th would be better...I have the 15th in the "Strike Pool"
It's not like you're going to win anything in that pool anyway.
Theatre owners will cave in by Wednesday night because Michael Riedel's Wednesday column will paint such a negative picture of them that they'll be affraid of what he'll say Friday.

You KNOW that it was all a joke right? (Sorry, I guess I should've typed "insert sarcasm here" into my last post) Trying to make the best of a lousy situation with some humor...
(Considering I started it...and was offering my null and void ticket to Saturday's performance of "Is He Dead", which CLEARLY didn't happen...)

I hope this doesn't continue for more than a week, but from what I've heard everyone is prepaired for the long haul.
No, I thought it was real.
Who in their right mind wouldn't realize that that was a joke?
The strike really IS turning this board into a bigger idiots' convention than usual.
I hate to break the new JV but Reidel is not God
They will not simply fold because of what Reidel says.
It was a joke. But you can imagine the column he'll write Wednesday. He'll have a field day with this stuff.
I like one of the Producers saying they have to pay someone to mop the stage floor $ 500 a week over & above their salary because they do not have the flexibility to assign work
Hey,I would like to go to work & tell my boss pay me for showing up . If you want me to actually work, you have to pay me more. Local 1 has already started the class war BS with Producers having 2 or 3 houses & the poor babies are trying to save theirs routine.
Barf bag please.

that mopping call info supplied by the league propoganda machine is inaccurate and nonsense.
Propoganda sounds a lot like what came out of the old Soviet Union
I know whatever the Producers say is 100 % wrong & whatever Local 1 says is 100% right. Now I get it.
