It would be nice if we could get explanations from both campaigns on both errors in judgement (or lack of organization). While I don't expect much of Trump, I would hope Clinton's camp would be in front of this issue. Thus far, however, their response and justification has been lacking. At least throw some low-level staffer under the bus with a termination. Make it seem like you care the father of the deadliest mass shooter in American history -- and self-proclaimed Interim President of Afghanistan / proud Taliban supporter -- is sitting three rows behind you. An "Oops, our bad," won't cut it with a campaign this well-coordinated, staffed and funded.
Trump says "All I do is tell the truth.".
“He gets the most valuable player award. Him and Hillary, she gets it too. I gave her cofounder if you really looked at this speech,” Trump said. “But he and Hillary get the most valuable player award having to do with Iraq, and having to do with the ISIS situation, or as he would call it, ISIL. He calls it ISIL because nobody else does and he probably wants to bother people by using another term, whether it's more accurate or not.”
The Manhattan billionaire bristled at the notion that referring to the president and his former secretary of state as the co-founders of a terrorist group intent on killing Americans was somehow inappropriate. He said he has been successful thus far as a political outsider throughout the election cycle by speaking his mind, and if that ends up costing him the general election, so be it.
“Is there something wrong with saying that? Are people complaining that I said he was the founder of ISIS?” He said. “Look, all I do is tell the truth. I'm a truth teller. All I do is tell the truth.”

ISIS was NOT caused by Obama/Clinton, nor was it caused by Bush/Cheney. It was "caused" by radical elements in Sunni Islam mixing politics and religion and whipping up hatred for Shiites and Westerners in order to gain power.

"It would be nice, but there is no benefit for Hillary, All she has to do is keep what she always does. Be quiet, ignore the controversy, stay healthy and hope no new scandal comes up and she wins the election.
I've come to the conclusion that my nephew and godson Brandon is right. Vote for who is closest to your ideals. I was wrong. If it looked like it was going to be close I might feel different, but as long as Trump is the nominee of the GOP, the Dems will win. They say the Republican Party is breaking up. The truth is the Democratic party is breaking up and the only reason they'll probably win this cycle is because of Trump. This is an aberration. If Hillary wins, 2020 will be about a united GOP and a fractured Dem party.
South Florida: "If Hillary wins, 2020 will be about a united GOP and a fractured Dem party."
Give it up, dude! *eyeroll*
Dude, that is where we're heading. Millions and millions of people who gave to Bernie, the GOP was a crap shoot. You're missing the lesson of this election. Trump will lose, the GOP will rally and in 4 years, unless this **** does something for the poor we'll be back. Do you realize how lucky you Hillary folks are Trump is your opponent? We will come back and annihilate you in 4 years.
Kruschev was my teacher.
"To Donald Trump: I am the daughter of a man who was shot by someone who got his inspiration from a movie, someone who believed if he killed the President the actress from that movie would notice him. Your glib and horrifying comment about "Second Amendment people" was heard around the world. It was heard by sane and decent people who shudder at your fondness for verbal violence. It was heard by your supporters, many of whom gleefully and angrily yell, "Lock her up!" at your rallies. It was heard by the person sitting alone in a room, locked in his own dark fantasies, who sees unbridled violence as a way to make his mark in the world, and is just looking for ideas. Yes, Mr. Trump, words matter. But then you know that, which makes this all even more horrifying."

Hillary will unite the center and the left. She already has.
The real challenge is to move the center to the left. It's already happening on social issues, now we need it on the economy and foreign affairs.

Except that the majority of the general public, regardless of political affiliation, are fiscally conservative (feel free to look up the stats). That ain't happening. Feel free to dream on, though..
That's why I characterized it as a challenge. In my opinion, people care much more about fiscal responsibility than fiscal conservatism. Neither party has shown the former, so folks tend to cling to the latter. This country has moved shockingly fast on social issues lately, so it may be possible to make the case for social programs if it is tied to overall fiscal responsibility. Admittedly, it is an uphill battle.
Good stuff Patti Davis. We needed those Reagan kids at the DNC.

You do realize that's because the government is incapable of fiscal restraint/responsibility... right?

Right. As if Sanders wouldn't have had an uphill battle in the general and wouldn't also have benefited from a Trump candidacy.
BTW: Who's 'we'?

I can only assume he's referring to the Bernie Bros, unless he's off his medication again and only speaks of his multiple personalities.
More very good polling data for Clinton in several swing states:

My vote is on e-bay.
So far $10 Trump, $10 Hillary.
That's illegal. Also moronic.

It is only August. Lots can happen. Lets hope we don't have a tragic October surprise.
