I'm guessing that the views are going to be going up quite a bit on this fairly recently uploaded Tedx Talk by McMullin.

*Apologies. I probably should have warned that there are disturbing images in that video.*
More Republicans abandoning Trump and endorsing Clinton. It will be interesting to see if there are more high-profile names once the GOP primaries are done.

Let's hope so. This is what we need more than we do all these other third party candidates every other day. jmo

I don't think that's true at all. Johnson's going to be on the ballot in all fifty states; no independent at this point in the race is going to get even close to that. And Johnson's core supporters (including me) aren't going to go for a self-described conservative.
Now, if you're saying Johnson will probably only end up getting the traditional Libertarian 1% or so, I agree. I always thought that's how it would end up anyhow. But Johnson certainly isn't going to leave the race or suspend his campaign or anything like that.
I think this new entry into the race will eliminate any chance Johnson may have for getting on the debate stage. Although Johnson may pull more votes from Trump, I think Clinton is better off in a one-on-one debate with Trump.

True, but I never expected that to happen anyhow. He'd basically have to double his current polling numbers, and I don't see that happening regardless of who else is in the race. In fact, minor party candidates' numbers seem to fall off dramatically as the election approaches.
Heheheheh.
Trump said "titties" not "cities."
Heheheheh.
50 GOP National Security/Foreign Policy experts have penned a scathing rebuke of Trump. This may not have an immediate impact on the electorate, but it will add pressure to elected officials to abandon him.

Great letter. Glad they didn't just give a blanket endorsement of Clinton, either. Make her work for and earn it.
Yeah, those lawsuits are going to go real far! I smell a lawyer or two trying for their 15 minutes.
It's not about how legally sound the lawsuit is (obviously, it's total garbage), but about the media narrative they're able to drive for days, weeks, months, perhaps based upon nothing but insinuation. It gets "BENGHAZI" atop the news cycle again instead of "LOOK AT WHAT RACIST CHEETO SAID TODAY". And, no way this is just a couple of lawyers looking for a payday. In fact, any reasonably skilled lawyer knows that this lawsuit doesn't have a prayer - especially given all the immunity Sec. Clinton would have even if there were even a shred of evidence to support this wrongful death claim. No, I think this has Republican operative pawprints all over it. It's Rove'esque.
Yeah, felt sorry for the mom who gave a speech at the RNC. She is obviously a bit unhinged and being used as a pawn. Yes, we can say the Khans were as well, but they were articulate and didn't appear to be on the verge of a psychotic break. I have been amazed at the GOP's game plan. Much like Trump's rhetoric it is all a salesman pitch with no substance. It catchwords and name calling. Sadly, it seems to work with the general public. After having worked with Mr Trump's second in command during the Marla Maples/ Atlantic City era, I have grown to be able to see the hawker's pitch a mile away and steer clear.
They did need something to get the media off of Trump's screw ups these past two weeks. What better then revisit a buzz word already seared into the public's mind? Benghazi!
Stay vigilant for the next 91 days.
Never Surrender.
Another brutal indictment of Trump from a Republican, this time Susan Collins:

Utah could wind up being interesting, if not determinant, in November. The new independent in the race, Evan McMullin, is a Mormon, and Trump has little support in Utah. Someone could win Utah with less than 35% of the vote.

Re the Benghazi lawsuit; I had the Today Show on this morning, and I think it was the 5th story mentioned (and not much at all).

Most lawsuits are not headlining stories since you can basically sue anyone for anything these days. What's your point? It will only become a story if the lawsuit gains any traction, which is doubtful. But we'll see.
The Clinton campaign's response to the lawsuits:
While no one can imagine the pain of the families of the brave Americans we lost at Benghazi, there have been nine different investigations into this attack and none found any evidence whatsoever of any wrongdoing on the part of Hillary Clinton.
A marked contrast to Trump's response to the criticism from the Khans.

Or an even better example: NO RESPONSE from the Clinton campaign when Patricia Smith attacked Clinton, like a rabid dog, at the Republican Convention. That says all you need to know between Clinton and Trump.
Polls schmolls, here's the best news of the day: Trump has no plans to change his temperament or strategy.

92 more days for him to play with fire, wreaking as much havoc and stoking as much hatred as he can. This campaign in itself is as frightening as the (slim) prospect of his winning. The man is a menace.

Trump basically just told his supporters that assassinating Clinton is an option.

Wow. I didn't think he'd move to assassination dog-whistles until October.
