A) I second whoever said Anna should just replace Abby. She was mealy-mouthed and didn't contribute much other than to "make Meghan comfortable." Whatev.
B) What the heck was wrong with Olivia Munn when she appeared as a guest today? She had trouble putting every. single. sentence together. And she's usually outspoken and articulate.

Did anyone notice Whoopi and Sunny call Andrew Yang by the name "Young" today. I could have sworn I heard it at least twice, but Andrew didn't correct them. If so, just another reason as to why he should get out of the race - the general population doesn't even know his name!

Despite agreeing with a lot of what he said, he made no impression whatsoever. These people who have absolutely zero chance of getting the nomination just need to check their egos and bow out gracefully so we can start getting down to business.
I gasped when Whoopi shut Meghan down at the end of the first segment. She was not having it.

Posted: 8/2/19 at 5:21pmToday was their last show of this season. I would have to assume that if Meghan (or anyone else) was leaving they would have said something. They'll be on hiatus for the next four weeks. They typically return the Tuesday after Labor Day.

ACL2006, I was reading Yelp reviews from audience members who have attended a taping in the last six months or so. They all mentioned a female as the warm up person. Did the guy who has been doing it for years leave? I had mentioned to you, at the last taping I went to, that he tried to make jokes at my and another guy's expense, fell flat, and then I read him and he got upset when the audience laughed at him. I have purposely not attended another taping (when I visit), but it would be nice to know if he is no longer there. Thanks in advance.

The warm up person is a woman, and she's very funny and sweet. They wished her Happy Birthday on an episode some time this summer, if I remember correctly. She was great when I went to a live taping a few months ago.

Thanks, ucjrdude902. I think I mixed you up with ACL2006, since he's been posting about The View more. You have the friend, that works on the show, right? Candi is Candace Cameron?

Meghan already making headlines in the season opener. The gun control debate got heated with McCain saying "I'm not living without guns". In general, she didn't seem happy to be there. Makes you wonder why she returned if she's unhappy. I'm sure an increase in her salary probably helped.

To be fair, they all got significant raises and Whoopi is trending on Twitter as well for calling out Debra Messing.
None the less, The View is back folks. And if today's episode is any indicator the ratings hit isn't slowing down.

So all that talk about McCain missing shows early in the summer because she didn't get along with cast members, and she wasn't coming back was because she had a private family matter to deal with.
