Meghan McCain today. UGH!
McCain needs to go away for a while. Just give us Ana Navarro instead.

That audio of Elizabeth threatening to quit after Barbara scolded her on the air is priceless.

This might make it easier. :)

Hasselbeck is and always has been such a brat.
Wonder if there will be any leakage between Joy and Meghan or Whoopie vs. Jeanine Pirro...
Meghan to Joy today. "Part of your job is to listen to me." Audience had a reaction and Whoopi stepped in.
It’s about time Whoopi responded to Meghan’s snippy and downright nasty comments.

She's stepped in before when Joy & Meghan have gone at each other. This is why Whoopi needs to be there. Without Whoopi, Joy just cuts off Meghan and then goes to break.

Say what you want about Meghan, but she read Joy to filth. I can't stand Joy and the look on her face when the comment was made was hilarious. Joy was speechless and lost her train of thought. LOL

Heck, when Meghan gets like that, I get speechless too, and I'm watching at home. As a person with a broadcast background including in news/current events and cross-talk experience (that is, two or more people having a discussion. Not "cross" or angry talk), you first have to only have one person talking or no one can hear anything, including the panel, listeners or viewers. Second, Meghan trying to assert some power or credibility in this way just makes her sound unprofessional. If she wants to be a boss, let her go produce her own show. She's a powerful voice, and I'm all for women having a platform to speak out about pretty much any topic we see fit since very few outlets truly let us, but there are many heads higher up than she. She gets paid for being articulate about her astute analysis of political angles not everyone considers; she does not get paid to be an unprofessional snot who makes herself unpleasant to watch. There's "good television" with some conflict, but in this case it's just rude, uncomfortable, disrespectful from the "respect your elders" standpoint when dealing with someone like Joy, and disrespectful among peers in her profession. She can disagree all she wants but why she lets herself come off like a flat-out jerk when she's otherwise a pretty self-contained, rational person, is beyond me.
It was good TV and you know it, nice to see some one serve it back to Joy. The ratings are through the roof and ABC is loving it.
Anyone catch The Talk lose another host? I don't see it lasting much longer....

It looks like Meghan is being coached to go after Joy in some way. I love that Joy just keeps going and Meghan stays silent when she is shut down. I love Joy and she is the only reason I keep watching. I don't dislike Meghan.. but after a year and a half she still has not found her groove.
SNL did a sketch on The View. It's been a while since they did a sketch about The View. I'm sure Whoopie & Joy will be happy that women played them (finally).
The View - SNL
I'm surprised they didn't include Sunny in the sketch but spoofed Ana.

Anyone know why it was the rerun of Whoopi surprising the ladies last month, after her bout with pneumonia, today?
My guess is that they're on Spring break this week and we'll have reruns. Should get new episodes next week.

Yes, they are on break this week, and return next week for the start of "May Sweeps".
AS for Meghan, I wonder if she is coming back next season? In the beginnig of this season (when she finally returned in November) she made a comment about 'I can't believe I agreed to sign on for another year'.
Anyone get the impression that Whoopi didn't enjoy the SNL sketch?

I thought Whoopi seemed to like it, but not Joy. She even mentioned that Fred Armisen was much better at imitating her. (I agree with her - the past 'View' satires from years ago were much better than this most recent one.)

Joy definitely didn't like it. I meant ion the way that Whoopi kept shutting down Meghan every time she said she loved it and felt honored.
