Why don't you make a rap about "black privillege"?
Because no other race has mandatory black awards and mandatory right on a certain percentage of roles and awards.

Any "rap I make" wouldn't come close to the one you're imagining in your racist brain.

There is no such thing as black privilege here in America.
Do you not understand what the meaning of "privilege" is in the context of race?

His own words show that a) he has no idea what "racist" means and, b) my parodying him by saying "discussing race is racist" was no more a fictional invention than Tina Fey's Palin monologues.
Every person with sense knows that pulling the race card in the Oscars is racist.

Oh yes there is.
What other race has awards based EXCLUSIVELY on their race?
Stop playing the "race card" card:

Here's Marcia Clark on Vulture talking about Ryan Murphy's "The People vs OJ Simpson". What she brings up is far too complicated for Dave19 to understand, but it's helpful:
In the immediate aftermath of the trial, there were a lot of people who did not want to believe race played as big a part of the verdict as it did — and not necessarily because it was payback for Rodney King. I know that for some jurors, because they said so, it was. One of them left the jury box with a black-power salute. But I felt others didn't necessarily feel that way. With the Furhman tapes and all of the racially incendiary testimony that wound up coming in that should have never come in, I think they got to a point where they just couldn't trust anything, they couldn’t believe anything without a reasonable doubt. And so that's the verdict. Now, that played directly to the black experience, which is legitimate. We call it in legal circles “the race card,” but that pejorative sits on top of truth, of real truth, and we're seeing it now on cell-phone cameras, with all the dashcam footage, surveillance footage, we're seeing why. It works because there's a truth there — because black men have been unjustly convicted and treated and mistreated by the police. And these shootings are a graphic illustration of why there’s this mistrust of law enforcement. And Johnnie [Cochran] knew it, and he played to it, and we knew what he was doing. But what do we do about that? He's not wrong.
If BET is your prime example of black privilege in America, then you need to examine what you think privilege is.

Oh, I understand. But why do you want to be one of the persons fueling it? People like you dedicate their lives to making sure the race gap increases and stays there. You are the problem, unless you support elimination of all things that separate, such as black reel awards and bringing slave history into every possible situation. So, what will it be?

The only real privilege would be being proud of anything you achieve against the odds. Not out of pity or playing the victim role.
If there is anything you have proven, it is that you most definitely do not understand very much at all.
If we talked about our history of slavery more instead of running away from it maybe we wouldn't keep replacing one caste system with another.

If we would stop comparing every black person in today's society to a slave, we would make huge steps in achieving equality.
So, Dave. Hypothetical scenario.
You're casting a male role in a modern-set show, and the only descriptor in the text is that the character is incredibly handsome.
You're down to two candidates for the part, identical in build and height, comparable in experience and ability. Both have given excellent readings and have chemistry with your leading lady. One is white and one is black. How would you determine which you pick?

Fun fact: There were more white slaves than there ever were black slaves.
Fun fact 2: In 2016, gay people are still sentenced to DEATH in many countries.
So stop whining. Go for what you want with positivity, determination and working against the odds. That is the one and only privilege.

As I thought, you don't understand what "privilege" means in this context.
It has nothing to do with BET or other race specific organizations, awards, etc.
Being a minority, by definition, excludes one from enjoying the cultural privilege of the majority.
You need to do a little research about the topic before you post things about it.

The same as I would do with 2 white guys or 2 black guys. Various options, maybe share the role as alternate. Maybe do work sessions with their potential leading lady and other actors and see how chemistry is. Maybe see what the contract negotioations will bring. Like I said, it doesn't make a difference to me. My favourite people in the world are my favourite people because of every other factor.
I just hope the black actor sees himself as a whole person too. That the word "race" is not something he should use in the speech when accepting his award for the role. That he understands that every other aspect of him earned him the role and the award.

Dave19 is the most garbage race troll ever on here.
Fun fact: In 2015, resumes with names commonly perceived as African-American generated interviews 50 percent less often than when the identical resume bore a name perceived as white.
That is white privilege.
That's the truth! Also stupid.

You need to do a little research about for example the Grammy Awards and the percentages. And about the current Les Miserables cast on Broadway and the percentages. And the list is endless...............

No, that's a result of constantly putting yourself outside of society.

Micro vs macro, Dave.

Dave19, who is the we that you reference? And what compels you to think for the rest of us regardless of our skin tone? Allow me to offer the links below to assist you in your research. You're stuck on singling out blacks in the US for uplifting their own. And by your own admission, the late Whitney Houston was the only one of us that you're not repulsed by.
